From the moment of our arrival we where made to feel very much at home. All rooms are exquisitely furnished and extremely comfortable. The main sitting room has beautiful views over Rutland waters. I believe we most probably had the best meal we ever had in England. The chef deserves at least three Michelin stars. Dominique chose some excellent wines for us, he certainly knows his job. Thank you. After a wonderful evening we retired to our beautiful room and had a relaxing sleep in the best bed...

Second wonderful stay at the Crown - Fantastic room with rolltop bath, separate shower, lovely big comfortable bed and plenty of space.
Very welcoming and friendly staff but beware the stairs!
Right in the centre of this beautiful old market town with numerous independent shops, restaurants and pubs, so we'll definitely be back...

Brilliant staff.
Began with great welcome by receptionist and then continued with excellent service and attitude from all staff members.
Such a rare find following COVID period which seems to have given the hotel chains and excuse to provide appalling service

We loved the feel of the place , it was like been on holiday sitting outside in the courtyard drinking freshly made coffee . The staff went above and beyond and were very helpful and friendly . We will be going back .

Lovely location with a pub servicing good pub for a few minutes walk away. Off road parking was more than sufficent and on arrival, Claire made us feel very welcome. We had the Castle Room which was very spacious and clean with everything we needed. The ambience of the property was that of a period, rustic farmhouse, beautifully decorated with many lovely flower arrangements.

Paul and his team delivered again. We were made to feel so welcome, as always, and the staff's sense of commitment was relentless. This is a real gem of a place...we will be back...soon

During this peak period, the beaches are bustling with visitors, and there's a lively option around the hotels and coastal attractions. It's an excellent time for families looking to make the most of the seaside activities, with all facilities operating at their fullest capacity. The longer daylight hours also provide ample opportunity for leisurely strolls along the shore or enjoying water sports.

During May, you may find better value on hotel stays and it can be easier to secure reservations at popular restaurants.
