"Lovely location, large comfortable room. The service from the staff was excellent and helpful. The meals were very good. I did have to return a steak (gristle) which was replace immediately with an alternative meal. Will definitely go again for a short stay."
"A great facility and friendly staff. When the Queensgate reconstruction is done it will be a truly prime spot but it’s still convenient to central Huddersfield now. "
"The staff were lovely and always willing to help, area was lovely and were provided with different walking route along with the difficulty of each one."
"Our rooms/ensuite were both lovely - quiet, crisply finished and one with french doors to a small garden.
The dining room is in the pub and the decor is eclectic. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful."
"If you’re just after a good clean & safe space to lay your head this fits the bill. The staff are lovely & friendly but don’t expect any food service or accessible drinks etc. whilst an incredibly lovely building there is very little going on there. "

"Well thought out cottage design very well presented but testing for size - just an extra 5% of space would yielded 20% increase in convenience and enjoyment. Hosts and neighbours are excellent. Parking is unusual but workable. As a couple (one Aussie and one Aussie born in Yorkshire) we really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would highly recommend it. Walk to village is 10 minutes and huge number of attractions within 40 mins."
"Ideal location, very spacious and well equipped house. Very quiet area and hosts were welcoming and friendly. Lovely to have the off street parking. "
Pheasants crossing - quiet luxurious country cottage
10/10 Excellent

Tucked away in a charming little village on the outskirts of Hertfordshire, this hidden gem is an idyllic retreat, offering both serenity and elegance."
