Passing through and exceeded expectations. Extremely friendly, very comfortable, very clean, and a nice breakfast. Central. Would definitely stay again if in Grantham.

Would highly recommend staying at the Gonalston Boutique. Not only was the room beautiful and clean, and the breakfast delicious, but the owner was the most wonderful host. She made us feel very welcome and was lovely to chat with. My only disappointment is with myself, that I did not discover this excellent place sooner! We will definitely be back.
If you are considering booking, you’ll be more than happy with everything.
Thanks again.

Very nice traditional hotel, has a lot of character. The rooms are a tad dated but fit the atmosphere of the building.
Really comfy beds and we had memory foam pillows on a big bed.
It is also a restaurant but we didn't eat here, but it smells very nice.
Would very much stay here again for the price

Staff were fantastic. Room was clean. Only problem we would say is the temperature of the shower. It was warm and that was as hot as we could get it. Other than that we really enjoyed the bar and restaurant. The Sunday Roast was SUPERB.

The best area to stay in Eaton is generally within the village centre or along the main roads leading into it, offering convenient access to local amenities and attractions.
Eaton is a lovely village just south of Norwich, well-known for its residential feel and proximity to the University of East Anglia. The main area of interest for visitors is around Church Lane and the A11, where you'll find local shops, eateries, and access to public transport links into Norwich city centre. It's a pleasant area with a mix of traditional and modern housing.
For couples looking for a relaxed short break, staying near the village green or closer to the River Yare offers a pleasant setting. You'll find inviting pubs and restaurants, and it's easy to take a leisurely stroll along the river paths or explore the nearby Eaton Park.
Business travellers will appreciate accommodation closer to the A11 and A47 bypass, as this provides excellent road links for commuting to Norwich city centre or other parts of Norfolk.
When is the best time to go to Eaton?
The best time to visit Eaton is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally at its finest.
During these months, you'll experience longer daylight hours and warmer temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the town and its surroundings. The gardens are in full bloom, and events like the annual Eaton Regatta often take place, adding to the local appeal. This period is particularly good for families looking to enjoy outdoor activities.
For those who prefer a quieter visit with fewer crowds, late spring (May and early June) or early autumn (September) are excellent choices. The weather is still pleasant, and you can enjoy the attractions without the peak summer hustle. This can be a great option for couples seeking a more relaxed trip.
