"If you love long walks, great pubs within walking distance (highly recommend the White Buck btw,) awesome food, great beer and lots peace and tranquility, this cottage is perfect for you. As always (this was our 4th visit,) the cottage is absolutely spotlessly clean, well equipped with every piece kitchen equipment you need, TVs in every room with full access to Netflix / Freeview as well as games etc. for rainy days. "Cute and stylish cottage (we were in the Milking Parlour), easy to find and good location. Cosy for a few days for a couple but the outside space a bit disappointing. Inside the cottage is pretty much exactly as per the photos. It's stylish and cleverly designed for multi-functional self-catering. Even has a dishwasher! Some tea, coffee beans, sugar, milk and olive oil kindly provided. The smart home features for air-con, heating, radio etc take getting used to but are effective. Could do with...

"A lovely property with a secure garden for my dog and access to the owner’s garden where you can meet Tilly the friendly black lab. Richard was an exceptional host and came to say hello after check in. The location is great. Down a very quiet country lane but close to both the New Forest and the Solent."

"We had such a lovely time at Acorn cottage, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Communication with Maria throughout super easy and the cottage is stunning, probably one of the most well thought out, well stocked getaways we've stayed at. We did plenty of local walks straight from the cottage and had a few stop offs on the way home in the local pub. We also visited on a pretty wintery weekend so it made the forest and the pub that little bit more festive. We would definitely return."

"We spent 3 nights here over easter weekend Plenty of room for 4 adults (one in a wheel chair ) and 2 small dogs The property is right in the heart of the new forest And close to beautiful beach of Milford on sea lovely walks, Plus local shops just up the road Extremely comfortable every thing you will need in the house And bonus of a beautiful garden We were very lucky with the weather Highly recommended place to stay"

"Property was tired and not as shown. Not clean. We had light bulbs that didn’t work, chipped crockery, a small tv with a router that kept the screen image blinking throughout programmes and then to cap it all a blocked sink in the downstairs toilet. We left before the end of our stay. Would never go back."

"The cottage is ideally located, only a short 5-10 minute drive to the coast and is on its own in a private part of the retreat. The enclosed garden is perfect if you have a dog with you and would be a lovely space to enjoy in the spring / summer. The kitchen had everything you could need and the bedrooms are light and airy, although little things like making sure there is salt in the salt grinder would be appreciated. Thoughts where the cottage could benefit: adding a mirror in the bedrooms...

"We rented this property while visiting family on the Island. Gorgeous home, had everything you need with the added bonus of a games room which helped keep the kids amused when the weather wasn’t on our side. Surprise welcome gift of wine and biscuits very much appreciated. Wish we had longer there. Many thanks Jane"

"Do NOT stay at this property - I would go as far to say that I would not stay at any property managed by Henry Adams. There was a large blob of blood, yes blood!, in the crockery drawer right by the plates. Crumbs in the fridge, black mould on the freezer door seal, cobwebs in every room, filthy dirty pole to open roof windows (covered in black dirt), upper floor toilet was leaking, the hairdryer was covered in dirt and the back of its filter was completely clogged and not safe to use, cracked...

"Really enjoyed this place, nice to have your own kitchenette, friendly staff and lovely spacious rooms ! Only downside, not much of a sound barrier, 6am baby crying and its parents talking extremely loudly to it, not an issue since already awake but something to keep in mind. "

Catered for a variety of ages and perfectly located on site for easy access to the pool and entertainment as well as access to the beach and clifftop walks.
