Doesn't feel like a Malmaison

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Overall it's fine, nice location but a few things were disappointing. In the 3 nights my room wasn't properly cleaned or hoovered. The continental breakfast is ok (cooked breakfast was awful). Just wish it felt like a Malmaison hotel.

Pros: bed was compfy. certainly a modern, different approach to tourism.
Cons: web site
Location: too far to walk to the pier and the lanes and not much happening close by. Lots of building going on so could not walk around much
We arrived in Brighton and could not find how to park near the hotel. In the end we rang reception and was told to use the public car park.and walk to the hotel along a public walkway It would have been good to know that in advance as we had driven around for over half and hour trying to get near the hotel.. We had paid in advance and the receptionist trie edd to charge us half again, saying we had only paid half of the price. We had book ed breakfast as well, but did not get that during our stay. The room only had milk, coffee, shampoo etc put there on the first day and no further supplies. We bought our milk from the supermarket. It was very windy when we were there and room was noisy with chairs on the balcony blowing around all night.

Right in the marina, easy parking and great place

Posted 01-Aug-2016
Quiet hotel in the centre of the marina. Plenty of bars and restaurants around. Free parking close by. Comfortable, large rooms and friendly staff. We had a great stay.

Nice hotel, location not what we expected.

Posted 30-Jul-2016
Inside, befitting a Malmaison hotel. Great decor, v helpful staff, lovely room. When we arrived there was only a large bed for me and wife....nothing for kids even though we'd specified this via booking website.. In 5 mins there were extra beds in the room with full bedding. I do question the location.... Part of a kind of corporate hell around the harbour with every high St food chain you can think of. Not our cup of tea. No parking either so you have to park in a nearby multi storey and drag the bags across. Also quite a way back onto Brighton. Not sure why Malmaison would set up here. Doesn't seem to fit with the brand and was not at all what we imagined. That said, staff and interior fab.

Beautiful, modern hotel, overlooking the Marina.

Posted 27-Jul-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: An offer of a breakfast (room service) that was not continental.
Location: Situated in the heart of Brighton Marina, you could go on a boat trip, or take the litttle train up to Brighton Pier.
We booked an expensive room, but it was worth every penny; the room was modern and very comfortable- the tea and coffee facilities were upmarket and the free shampoos/body wash were ample and of quality!. Overlooking the Brighton Marina, the view was beautiful from our private balcony. We were situated right in the centre of the marina bars and restaurants.

Gratis parkeren, wel veel nachtlawaai op straat en grote bouwwerf rondom hotel, zeker 35 min stappen naar centrum

privacy issues

Posted 11-Jul-2016
Beautiful view but had a communal balcony so we could not have our blinds open. Children and other guests were walking outside our room and could see straight into ours. The door onto the balcony couldn't be left open at all because of this issue too. Very disappointed as could not appreciate this lovely room with s beautiful view !

Great location very close to restaurants

Posted 11-Jul-2016
Lobed the location, easy free parking in the multi story car park nearby, and a very short walk to plenty of restaurants. Asda across the street too for any shopping. Hotel is beautiful, rooms are lovely, really nicely decorated. Would be nice to have a fridge in the rooms though, in the summer when it's hot a cold drink would be nice! Overall would stay here again.
