Beautiful, modern hotel, overlooking the Marina.

Posted 27-Jul-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: An offer of a breakfast (room service) that was not continental.
Location: Situated in the heart of Brighton Marina, you could go on a boat trip, or take the litttle train up to Brighton Pier.
We booked an expensive room, but it was worth every penny; the room was modern and very comfortable- the tea and coffee facilities were upmarket and the free shampoos/body wash were ample and of quality!. Overlooking the Brighton Marina, the view was beautiful from our private balcony. We were situated right in the centre of the marina bars and restaurants.

Mooi hotel

Gratis parkeren, wel veel nachtlawaai op straat en grote bouwwerf rondom hotel, zeker 35 min stappen naar centrum

privacy issues

Posted 11-Jul-2016
Beautiful view but had a communal balcony so we could not have our blinds open. Children and other guests were walking outside our room and could see straight into ours. The door onto the balcony couldn't be left open at all because of this issue too. Very disappointed as could not appreciate this lovely room with s beautiful view !

Great location very close to restaurants

Posted 11-Jul-2016
Lobed the location, easy free parking in the multi story car park nearby, and a very short walk to plenty of restaurants. Asda across the street too for any shopping. Hotel is beautiful, rooms are lovely, really nicely decorated. Would be nice to have a fridge in the rooms though, in the summer when it's hot a cold drink would be nice! Overall would stay here again.

Nice Hotel poor sound proofing

Posted 03-Jul-2016
Rooms are clean but basic, no fridge, good bathroom.Had a good view over the Marina but overall felt that the room wasn't worth the money .What let it down the most was the non existent sound proofing. I was woken up at least 5 times during the night by other guests returning to their rooms and the doors slamming. I was then woken at 0830am by cleaners slamming doors and vacuuming outside!

Hotel Marina of Brighton

Posted 13-Jun-2016
Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. But mattress was fairly uncomfortable. Room was very warm and provides fan was limited in settings. Very loud on Friday and Saturday night with drunken parties.

Overall really nice place and great location. No air con in the room although the windows open fully and there is a fan in the room.

Overrated & not up to the other Mal standard

Posted 21-May-2016
It's not near town. It's in Brighton Marina. I assumed it was a posh modern development but is a complete dump! Nothing exclusive about it at all. Think McDonalds, multistorey car parks & cheap modern structures that have aged badly. Crazy choice to put a Mal. Reception took ages to find our booking & the rooms were a bit minimalist / hipster but lacked those little luxury touches that make you feel special. Not like Oxford or Brum Mal which I like

Could Be A Great Hotel

Posted 06-May-2016
Cons: The staff and attitude. Don't reserve tables in the bar for a wedding reception.
Location: Good location near to restaurants but they are all chain restaurants.
The hotel has lots of potential and the rooms are spacious. We had a pleasant stay but was very disappointed when we went to have a drink in the bar at 6pm to be told all the tables were reserved for a wedding and the attitude of the staff was not bothered always ask if there is a wedding on as the hotel is not a good experience when there is a wedding.

Only stayed one night but hope to return. If it had been in the middle of nowhere I would have been miffed at a 'choice " of one Vegetarian option however it is surrounded by various styles of eating houses. Our evening meal was at an Indian Restaurant ( not a Curry House ) . Breakfasted outside Cafe Rouge overlooking the Brighton Marina. with sunshine! .
