hotel on the beachfront

Posted 26-Jul-2016
Pros: chandeliers in the hallway and the wide stairs
Cons: windows filthy could do with some cleaning, a need bed and a improved shower unit where it does not flood the floor post shower
Location: location is central for shopping and public transport and eateries and places of interest
Windows have restricted opening space, making the room hot and stuffy. Bed was creaky, the shower unit is poorly designed even it looks modern. After each shower the bathroom floor is wet .Not keen going back to this hotel again

Gammal och obekväm hotell

Det var inte värt de pengarna man betalat för. Inga AC i rummet och dåliga sängar.

Not worth 200 quid for a night

Posted 18-Jul-2016
I've stayed in far better rooms for far less the price. They asked me at reception if we needed a baby cot because they only had a twin room available so we had to push the two beds together to make a double bed. The cot never arrived. Overall not what I expected from a Hilton but oh well. Brighton was lovely

Disappointing, expensive hotel but great view

Posted 08-Jul-2016
Pros: Amazing view was the saving grace.
Cons: Lower the price.
Location: Near the centre of Brighton and the beach.
Can't believe this place charged as £270 for the night. Small room, cracked mirror, pool out of action.

A blot on the Hilton brand.

Posted 10-Jun-2016
Pros: Quick key drop box for check out. helpful staff for minding bags after checkout and recovering items left in wardrobe. Buffet good selection.
Cons: Room cleanliness and maintenance.
Location: on seafront. short walk to pier, electric train, the lanes, etc.
Booked at last minute for May weekend for one night and could only get a twin bedded room. Chose Hilton on basis of many stays at Hilton's in several countries. Managed to get the room changed for a double bedroom on arrival. Upsides, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, in room coffee\tea. Downside is that the room was in serious need of refurbishment and a cleaner that looked up. Their were bugs in the lampshade that looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months, the carpet was worn and grubby, same for the shower. We stayed another night in Brighton but at Jury's near the station in a spotless room.

Nice location

Great to be right on the seafront. Very close to tourist areas and local eateries. Didn't have any meals there. The room (431) was quiet and very clean. Parked around the corner which was handy. Staff friendly enough. The pool was closed so used municipal pool and got reimbursed by the hotel.

A good choice for Brighton

Posted 02-Jun-2016
A lovely hotel, beautiful inside but like most hotels in the area was tired looking from the outside. Friendly staff were on hand and checked us in early after a hassle free car parking experience. Be warned, car park to the hotel is very dark and dingy. Family room was beautiful and neutral. View was awful, side and top of adjacent building. breakfastw was great and very popular. Be prepared to wait to be seated if busy.choicei a as good as anywhere. Our downside was the leisure facilities were unavailable due to a ceiling collapse....we were able to use the Queens hotel facilities half a mile away but for convenience with young children this was not ideal. Plus the Queens is 3 star quality and not as nice as the Hilton. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the pier and a few minutes walk to the town centre. A midday check out means a lay in which is always welcome! All in all a pleasant stay but with a couple of dissatisfactions .

Two Day Stay .First Time.

Posted 11-May-2016
Pros: Location and old front facade. The standard of service however needs to improve dramatically.
Cons: Train your staff to a professional standard and fix rrom service menus. Insist front desk staff don't act so impatiently and help the guest.
Location: I was more interested in quality accommodation and service.
6th floor hall smelled. My room smelled stale. The wi fi was slow and would not always connect. The wi fi had to be reconnected every time I opened my lap top. Doesn't happen at other hotels. No fridge. Poor room servicing. Front desk not always helpful and only willing to do it their way.(Italian girls). Some Bar/lounge staff not trained to be attentive nor service conscious. I doubt they received any training. Pathetic room service menu. Soup or sandwiches at 12 pounds .Utter rip off.
