Great location

Posted 05-Mar-2017
Pros: Excellent breakfast and good location.
Cons: Time taken to check in. Noise from generator.
Check in was very slow. Room very basic for price charged. There was a continuous noise from a generator outside the room.

Lovely hotel close to the beach

Posted 03-Mar-2017
Pros: The room was small but extremely comfortable
Location: Perfect location for shopping and restaurants. Also very close to the Brighton Centre for shows.
From the moment we walked into the reception, we were greeted warmly by the staff, they made our checking in so easy and everything was explained.

needs attention

Posted 27-Feb-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Decor, room size, general maintenance
Location: Ideal for the Lanes, Pier, Brighton Centre and Seafront
We were allowed to check in early which free up our time to go exploring Brighton in the afternoon. However on returning we found our room slight underwhelming. The room itself was small and on a cold and blustery afternoon someone had had the foresight (sic) to leave the window open making the room very cold. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room which was perhaps why the window had been left open. To try and warm up we eventually found a small radiator under the window and we were able to get warmer. We went out for the evening (the location of the hotel was ideal for this) and on returning tot he hotel spent a rather restless night with a lot of noise and chatter throughout the night from the corridor outside for what appeared to be some sort of thoroughfare for the staff? The overall standard of the hotel was not what you would expect from the Hilton brand, with lifts out of order, missing ceiling tiles in the toilets and just a general feel of needing renovation throughout. The redeeming feature of location will only take you so far when paying £150+ per night...

Great Location

Posted 27-Feb-2017
I came to Brighton to take part in the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday 26th February. My girlfriend and I chose the Hilton Metropole Hotel for its location, directly on the route of the race. And its close proximity to The Lanes and shopping areas. Hilton Metropole is a great hotel. Our room was ready when we arrived. We dropped off our luggage. Our room very clean and tidy. When we got back we enjoyed the Swimming and Spa amenities that the hotel has on offer. They certainly came in handy on Sunday after taking part in the run. Perfect. We also requested a late check out. Which wasn't a problem. So we relaxed without having to rush. We would definitely recommend this hotel. And we will stay here again. Kind regards Paul Churchill

Seafront hotel

Posted 13-Feb-2017
Pros: Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good
Cons: Beds could be updated and more comfortable
Location: Central location. Near to all amenities
Check in was a bit chaotic! Only two receptionists trying to book a high amount of people in. Bedroom was below standard in that the bed creaked and groaned at the slightest movement, and was small and noisy as there was generators outside the window. Service in the bar was very slow, and food not dry hot

Pleasant hotel, cold room

Posted 23-Jan-2017
Pros: The location
Cons: The heating
Location: Only visited for a family event, not local attractions
Hotel Parking was the first challenge, the height restrictions meant we couldn't park at the hotel but no alternative information is available on their website so ended up shelling out £35 for an overnight stay, almost half the room price!!. Check in was easy & the staff attentive but the room was freezing. We were attending a family event in the evening so set the thermostat to 26 to warm the room whilst we were out, it didn't. Still freezing at 1am and it didn't improve overnight. Room was great & nice & spacious but all let down by the temperature.
