"The only good thing about the property was the location. The room was clean, but very uncomfortable with low beds, no remote for the TV , a broken chair, and the slow stream of shower water was far too hot. There were none of the luxuries advertised, nor was the basement set up to eat/drink as advertised. Common areas were not clean or well maintained. The owners are clearly trying to sell the property."

Would highly recommend staying at the Gonalston Boutique. Not only was the room beautiful and clean, and the breakfast delicious, but the owner was the most wonderful host. She made us feel very welcome and was lovely to chat with. My only disappointment is with myself, that I did not discover this excellent place sooner! We will definitely be back. If you are considering booking, you’ll be more than happy with everything. Thanks again. Danny

Fantastic host looked after us incredibly well, the place is right opposite the Lincolnshire county show ground, peaceful and quiet, we had a lovely walk up and down the bridal path. The host is an artist and showed us her works which is very impressive. The site has a new sauna and hot tubs for guests to enjoy. The breakfast was brought to us at the time we chose. Loved it and would book again if we are in the area.

This is the quintessential English vicarage and the perfect B&B. If you want to stay in a warm, welcoming and beautiful location, then look no further. The room was immaculate and breakfast perfect. Tricia and Andrew are excellent hosts and we could have happily spent hours chatting. They offered good advice on where to eat and where to go. If we return to the Peak District we won’t give a second thought to booking again.

We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum). The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving. Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. We had a brilliant stay at Brampton Dales Farm B&B, a working farm on the outskirts of the village of Upton. After a warm welcome from the owners and their many animal friends, we settled into a cosy, detached outbuilding of our own. We were given good advice on restaurants and local points of interest. Breakfast was plentiful and Hugh's homemade bread was magnificent! Thank you for a memorable break!
