Mamilla Hotel

Mamilla Hotel

8/10 Good
"The hotel was wonderful! Great location -just an easy walk to the Kotel. The staff were amazing, so helpful and accommodating, and the food was very good. Beds were very comfortable. We stayed as a couple over a holiday weekend, there were many young families with kids and it was understandably quite noisy at times in the main lobby and dining area. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend the hotel."

East Jerusalem has a wealth of sites of historic and religious interest, including the Mount of Olives, the location of a number of landmarks including a Jewish cemetery, which has been used for over 3,000 years. Another site of religious significance is the Garden Tomb, considered by those who maintain it as the place of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. This may be disputed, but the Garden Tomb remains a popular place of pilgrimage and a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Nearby, the Rockefeller Museum is a treasure trove of archaeological artefacts, with some exhibits dating back to prehistoric times. Some of the highlights of the collection include Bronze Age jewellery and a 9,000-year-old statue from Jericho. The museum is surrounded by the Rockefeller Garden and is close to the walls of the Old City and the Muslim Quarter with its Arab bazaar.
