Top Durdle Pier Hotel Reviews
Fairhaven Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent position - opposite the beach and within walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Our room was at the back of the hotel. There were some noisy residents but given the seagulls it wasn’t an issue. We opted for no breakfast so can’t comment on that. The hotel itself was clean and staff friendly. Would stay again. "
"Bed was not comfy as we had backache after second night , we turned mattress round was ok that night but the after that . The step into the shower was too high and we had to buy a step to get in it and also the floor surface was very slippy .
Was ck an and tidy and overall not a bad place to stay and would recommend and return at some point "
"Great location for sailing - clean, tidy apartment with good equipment and facilities. Some street noise but understand double glazing is being fitted."
Beautiful, family friendly Cottage with sea views of Chesil Beach
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed here for a rock climbing weekend and had a great time! Beautiful cosy cottage and so comfortable! Loved listening to the seagulls in the evening over wine ans the best sunsets just down the road! Alison was great with her communication. Thank you "
"Nice size property. Missing the more luxury/comfort items.
Garden furniture ok not as images. Has a comfy dining table. Balcony furniture present but not suitable for the area. High stools and table not appropriate needs more relaxing items to make area useful otherwise it was good for drying clothes.
Area is central and easy for amenities, cafes, beach, shops etc all easy to walk to. Noisy as near heliport and some days this is busy from early morning till after 10 at night. Not overly intrusive.
As mentioned in other reviews cleanliness relies on previous tennants cleaning. The finer elements dont get done. Fridge wiped out but crumbs etc in drawers. Bits of rubbish on bedroom units from previous tennants. Bits left in drawers, kitchen cupboard fronts not wiped down etc.
Dart board, putting area on lawn and other toys, games, books and dvds nice touch.
Fire sticks on tvs a nice touch but info on using these would have been helpful.
Sonos sound system is a pain to use. Cheap blue tooth speakers would be better.
Carpet loose on top steps was a bit of a hazard, hopefully this will have been easily resolved.
Back gate latch seized up so doesnt open if it closes and could easily lock self out. Only 1 key for 8 people is a pain especially as keysafe not easy to get to for daily use.
An area in garden fo bbq in garden would be nice. Even just a stand disposable bbqs.
Overall an enjoyable experience. Would go again if the price was right.
Issues were niggles rather than prob"
"The receptionist / bartender/ waitress (Sian) was really friendly and efficient, handling a large dining group, customers at the bar and a late check in, but still find time to have a chat as we bellied up to the bar for drinks. "
