"Reception was welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. With iron and ironing board. Dove toiletries. Bar and food available, so we decided eat at hotel. Typical pub/ bar menu, but it was served hot and cooked perfect. Overnight stay due to an early flight. breakfast was continental as we had to leave early.However, have to say it was amazing. Hot pancakes, yogurt, fruit, croissants, cereal, toast marmalade, butter. Beautiful and fresh. If this was the standard, I can only imagine what the cooked breakfast would be like. Down side, the restaurant looks basic, but dont be put off by that. Most definitely recommend and will book this hotel again"

"We have taken weekend breaks as a couple at the Orchard for a number of years. We do bed and breakfast. We have always loved the location and the hotel. The recent refurbishment of the foyer, bar and dining room have transformed the space creating a spacious but intimate environment. The breakfast at Bramleys is excellent and good value. In the past we would sometimes have taken breakfast elsewhere, no longer. The staff we all helpful and welcoming."

"Lovely quiet location overlooking pedestrianised New Walk and very central, close to town and university. Very efficient and helpful staff. Room very comfortable and well appointed and whole building well adapted from original row of 19th century houses. Good onsite parking too. Looking forward to next stay."
