"This was an amazing stay! The property is absolutely stunning inside and out, with expansive views of the Douro Valley. Manuel is an excellent host and even made us dinner reservations at some great restaurants in town. The salt water pool was my favourite amenity. I wish we had planned to stay here for several nights and not just one. "

"Quinta Nova is a beautiful Quinta in spectacular surroundings. It is very comfortable and the service is impeccable - probably the best welcome of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The restaurant was also excellent - with enough choice for 3 fabulous meals even though the menu didn’t change during our 3 night stay. The walking trail around the vineyards is superb and a real highlight of our stay. "

"The LBV House was a great place to stay. It’s a quick drive to the main part of town. It is a short walk but quite hilly. Breakfast was delicious, staff friendly, and stay was very enjoyable. "

"Staff at the hotel were superb.. I read some of the comments about five star hotel in previous reviews while the hotel itself may not be a five-star the staff and the service is easily five-star… I laugh at some of the comments…. if you want little slippers and matching housecoat, look like a prince and princess, then go to Palace… the meals were suburban with the first class chef from Brazil… when I came to the restaurant bar you couldn’t want more for service and quality…. awesome place for a weekend getaway… so inconvenient to get to some of the winery for tastings, but make the best of it…."

"This must be our 10 th visit over the years I love bringing friends here. The look on their faces as you enter the walls to reveal this gem of a hotel Brilliant check in with friendly staff . We were hot and sticky being 37.c The large pool was open and welcoming The rooms clean and well equipped . Just one of our party had a plumbing issue with the shower Breakfast was beautiful with loads of fresh fruits and yoghurts . Plus hot food if you wanted . Staff very friendly On our second night we ate the restaurant in the hotel. Although very busy with a large group the staff were great and one of the best meals was had by all. Our group of seven throughly enjoyed the hotel has many antique artifacts as is like a living museum Will be staying again next year "
