However this time the pool and pool area were shut - had we known we would have booked somewhere else. We we offered the use of the pool at the hotel across the road for $50 US each per day (2 of us therefore $100 US per day total) and told we would need to arrange our own taxis as it was dangerous to cross the road. We were given a late checkout free of charge to compensate, but our keys stopped working and we had to let in by cleaning staff who hadn’t been told and wanted to get in to clean our room. Overall, we found the situation totally unacceptable and feel completely let down. Service in the pub was not great. Would I stay here again? Most likely not. You couldn’t even bathe on the beach here. Also it should be clearly displayed that the hotel will CALL a taxi for you. The cost of this ‘shuttle’ is not included and must be paid by you.
