The colony is a great hotel, the location is perfect the beach is very nice.
Amenities are nice though maybe in some areas TLC would be needed. Who cares cause the overall is just what you need for a perfect holiday.
Breakfast is very good and has a lot of selections.
What makes the Colony Club very special is the staff. They are just amazing and caring they will try to make you happy and will go out of their way to please you with a smile.
It's our second time here and we will come back

Couldn't have asked for much more. We had an outstanding suite with old access to a pool, dining facility and a bar! The staff was friendly and always helpful. We really enjoyed our 'all inclusive' experience, it's the only way to go. We will recommend to friends and relatives alike.

Very disappointed with the pressure to attend 9 a.m. vacation plan meeting and breakfast that we experienced when first arriving. After saying we were not interested they brought over another person with more pressure to attend. We were hungry, had not been to our room. Tired after long flight. My husband and I were at the resort before it changed names and never experience this. Many others we talked with were not happy either. I see where this will not be posted, but we will pass this on as we have recommended to others. Also disappointed that the kids had to pay to play miniture golf. Purchased buggy boards when didn't know the red flag was up and they would not refund the $30. They had to know that the red flag was up and kids not allowed in water. Would recommend hotel only after sharing these experiences.

We met 30 or so family members for an older generation birthday and this place catered to all ages. Santo provided great service at check in and got us an upstairs room with two double beds a trundle and a day bed that could have slept 5. The room was very clean, the choices of restaurants was decent, the beach bar served amazing and fresh coconut and pineapple drinks. The bartender there, Juan from Boca Chica, had a great manner (and smile) and made virgin versions of fun drinks for the kids including an amazing mud slide they all loved. The local vendor next door (JC Peny - no relation to the US Store) held a cute shop with negotiable prices and I scored a massage from Yoselin for a song - and she was strong. We got some cute dresses and bracelets for souvenirs in the shop. We settled on the Mexican restaurant in the resort every night because the manager knew my family was hard to please and agreed to get us anything from any kitchen in his location so we didn't have to jump around for each family member - that's the amazing service I like. Great place that is very affordable for a large family of 5 to 50. The only thing is that the rooms are VERY far apart unless planned as a group and the property from highway to beach is so far they use little trains/trams to move folks around. Too far to walk quickly.

Exceptional, engaging, warm and immaculately groomed staff, clean, well appointed rooms and bathroom. Amazing grounds, serene beach, lazy river, great food and entertainment. Classy employees and a classy demographic of guests while we were there as well.

We took our friends with us this time and they loved it. The food and the staff was outstanding. However the lady for the trip back to the airport representing Expedia was worthless. She scheduled our ride which never showed up and we almost missed our flight due to her incompetence. She showed no concern for our dilemma and was not helpful in us finally getting to the Airport
