Quiet and clean
Very nice hotel. Quiet, clean and easy access to restaurants and shopping (30-100 rps auto rickshaw ride to near-by shopping areas). 45-min taxi ride from airport.

Location is the major drawback
Overall my expectations regarding the quality of rooms, cleanness, food are in line with what I have paid. The staff is helpful. The breakfast was ok, a combination of Indian and European dishes, masala omlete was very good. The rooms were clean, bed linen and bath towels of decent quality. Bathroom itself was also clean, no signs of rust or anything unpleasant. When I booked this hotel I read reviews saying that the location was good to explore Delhi. I would disagree with this statement as the hotel is far away from everything and besides is located, although, in a back street, but close to a very noisy market area. I could not sleep without earplugs. I spoke with one of the local residents later one and this person also said that the area was not good to explore the city.

Delhi - Charming hotel
Charming gem of a hotel with very helpful and courteous staff. Good decor at reception and in room. Nice furniture with desk, chair, fitted wardrobe, small settee and coffee table. Luggage storage area. Booked through Expedia and got a good deal reasonaly priced Premium Room which included a reasonable buffet breakfast and airport transfer. The flight was delayed by an hour. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find that the driver was still waiting for us. Whilst it was nice to take advantage of the airport transfer the car was a little on the small side but we managed to get our luggage in. The driver was very nice and courteous. The premium room was very nice with good facilities. Room and bathroom were clean with daily linen changes. Pleasant decor with flat screen tv, mini bar, hairdryer. Complimentary tea/coffee making facilities in room. Extraordinary large bed which was very comfortable. Was a quiet room on the top floor which had a window with interesting views of the surrounding rooftops. Location quite central close to Karol Bagh shopping/market areas. Area a bit on the run down side but appears to be undergoing a lot of refurbishment. Would recommend this hotel for travellers and would certainly return again. Definitely recommend Expedia and would use this site again.

Typical 2/3 star budget hotel. Friendly & helpful staff. Food prices in restaurant very reasonable. Very slow Wi-Fi in hotel. Situated in an awful area but it is typical in India. Clean room + toiletries with flat screen TV.

Avoid! Photos don't reflect reality
Pros: -The breakfast was quite good. It had both contenental and Indian choices. -The free (one-way) airport shuttle was quite good -- they had already figured out that my flight was two hours late and adjusted accordingly. The return trip was not expensive. Cons: -The neighborhood was quite depressing and dirty. Crowded. The web photos do not give you a picture of the surrounding (now I know why). -There are hot and cold water taps. But no hot water. -Noisy like hell. Right outside the room there was a pump making loud noise through the night and I could not get any sleep! -Wi-fi did not work all night. Finally I called a person to fix. He tried the wireless for a long time and finally pulled a long ethernet cable for me. It was time to go by then.

Nice hotel
The hotel quality is good at their price level. The constant honking from the street can be a little bothersome, but it doesn't last through the night nor it starts early. The in-room wifi worked ok, with the signal on the low side. Breakfast was good, with not too much variety. The staff is very friendly and willing to help their customers.

The hotel was clean, everything was there as expected, rooms were good size with all amenities and staff was very courteous and responsive. The food in the breakfast was fresh and tasty with good selection. I would stay here again without any hesitation. Kudos for Hotel Clark and its staff. The Clark International is located in downtown.
This hotel is situated in downtown of Karol Baug and surrounded with crowded streets. The whole area is occupied with local vendors and street sellers. Very had to find parking spot, we were having hard time to park our van as everywhere construction going on the street.

Little things make big difference
Very nice hotel in the quaint Karol Bagh area of New Delhi. Rooms were clean, hot water and complimentary Internet access available. The air conditioner remote was a bit quirky. We used the taxi arranged by reception to visit near by tourist places. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. All the staff members were courteous and friendly. The lobby manager and the restaurant staff went out of their way to pack us the complimentary breakfast as we were going to Agra for a day trip very early in the morning. There was definitely some noise due to the traffic (people honk incessantly and needlessly in India) and construction activity. But as we were out during the day time and really tired when we returned at night, falling asleep was no problem. I was travelling with family and this is certainly the hotel we would want to stay in the next time we visit Delhi.

Hotel Clark good value for the money
My wife and I stayed there for 9 days. The price was very reasonable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel and the neighborhood were undergoing renovation, the rooms were clean and we experience only few minor interruptions. The restaurant on the top floor offers good Indian food and a nice view. The neighborhood is very lively and bustling with commercial activity. The hotel is located about 10 minute walk from Delhi metro. I would definitely recommend this hotel - good value for the money.

hi, the hotel is pretty decent for the price you are paying,i took a standard room and i would say everything was quite good and clean, the hotel is in a busy location but the surronding is rich, indian restuarants, shopping for garments, shoes etc.very very close to metro easy for moving in the heard of the Delhi city and back to the hotel. the only issue i could see was that the water supply was not that consistent but it was not bad eithor. Staff is very helpful and attentive. Room condition is very clean, wooden flooring,Well mainated AC,LCD screen etc

Standard rooms (4) are awful, the windows open into a chimney and the airconditioning does not work. It feels like sleeping in a coffin. We changed our room at 3am night as it just wouldn't cool down. Staff were helpful once we complained. Lifts were not working. Due to the works going on in Delhi the roads were dug up closing vehicle access to the hotel. Please do not offer Standard Rooms on your site at this hotel and others in Delhi as they don't have windows - they are selling broom cupboards as rooms.

Not happy
The receptionists were consistently rude. They were not able to contact reliable taxi service. We missed a dinner engagement with friends because they were unable to get a taxi for us, and we gave them an hour to make this arrangement. The free internet was not working most of the time while we were there. The elevator was out of service during our stay. Even the restaurant in the hotel had to be moved while we were there because of the poor condition that it was in. The neighborhood is also not ideal for tourists, and there were so many shady tourist companies trying to make profit from new arrivals. The hotel allowed these companies to come into the hotel, and it was extremely uncomfortable them harassing us while trying to get breakfast after just waking up every morning. The hotel really should not let them come in. We felt bad for the non-managerial staff because they did work very hard and nice, but I feel that the managers/front desk were very unwelcoming and made our stay in Delhi very unpleasant. We returned to Delhi before leaving India, and we made sure that we did not stay at this hotel.

Hotel Clark - good if you chase up reception
We insisted on a higher level room after reading the reviews about street noise. We stayed on the 3rd and 4th floor and both times had no issue with street noise (the AC is very loud but is a necessary evil). The only complaint about the room was the stench each time we entered (once the AC got going it disappeared), smelt like sewage. The second time we stayed there we were on the 3rd floor where the smell of the kitchen (curry) came through the air con. One complaint is that even though I booked my 5am airport transfer the night before with reception and confirmed again that night, at 5am the morning lobby manager had gotten the rooms mixed up and had not ordered one for me so he was scrambling around for half an hour trying to arrange one, which almost made me late for my flight. Breakfasts are good and reception is usually helpful.

A good hotel in a dump
The hotel is not bad for being a 3 star. The problem is the surroundings. Big public works are going on in Delhi this year: they are building 2 new subway lines, one highroad and new footpaths everywhere, so there are road yards everywhere; they dig the earth and put it on the pavement of the roads, so all the vehicles passing by lift dust in the air and so Delhi is covered by a huge cloud of dust, in the city center like in the suburbs, and there is rubbish everywhere too.

For backpackers!
The conclusion: OK for backpacker = doesn´t care much about comfort. NOT OK for other people on holiday in India= Low standard hotell and room not very clean. --- This hotel is of my opinion equal to a low standard guesthouse in europe. It´s not a 3 star hotell. From a 3 star hotel i expected that everything in the room works, and that room is clean The positive side: 1) The people in the reception where VERY service oriented. 2) Lot of shopping possibilities in the area, but not very tourist friendly.

Hotel Clark International - look elsewhere.
The hotel staff was rude and unhelpful. When I asked about arranging for a taxi to CP just around the corner (which was one of the reasons why I chose this location in the first place), they gave me one price only to change it to a beyond-exorbitant amount. The included breakfast looked as though it had been sitting around for quite awhile, an invitation to gastritis. Also, as a woman traveling alone I felt particularly unsafe and uncomfortable while staying at this hotel, and I've stayed in some shady places before. The only redeeming quality I can think of is that the room was relatively clean. Of course, you can find clean rooms for half the price in the same neighborhood. Please consider looking elsewhere.

Confortable hotel in a shopping area, close to metro station
Even if every road in Delhi is currently upside down due to preparation of the commonwealth games in October 2010, the Clark hotel is clean, the personel is very kind and if you are tired the restaurant is a good 'in-house' alternative on the roof-terrasse. If you are used to this type of hotel in India, you will not be surprise to notice that the rooms have no windows. That's a fact in most of the hotels and it's a guarantee to have quiete night. Free transportation to the Airport has been offered to us with daily newspaper, free internet access, etc... The Karol Bagh area is known as a market place, mainly for clothes and you can bring back as well some spices. If you wish to go outside at night, there are few but sufficient restaurants & bars in a reasonable walking distance.

A 5 minute walk from a subway stop and right around corner from a good shopping street, the Clark hotel is a decent mid-range option. We stayed here twice and we were happy both times. The bedroom was clean and we never heard any street noise. The breakfast was good for India. Also, we liked that they offer free airport pick-ups and drop-offs.

Excellent Value for Money
Recently stayed at the Clark Hotel with my sister. This is an excellent budget hotel. The staff were very accomodating and willing to help with any questions. They are genuinely passionate about providing good customer service. The photos on hotels.com are a good representation. The rooms, bedding, cutlery were clean and breakfast was great. We also opted to eat a couple of times in their restaurant for dinner. The hotel travel agent provides a good service and is available at all times. Experienced the real India. I would stay here again.

The hotel bathroom's are very old yet the bed and linen was excellent. Service is what you would expect of a 3 star hotel. In Delhi you often get less than what you pay for and at this hotel .... much less
I had a 26 hour layover in Delhi, ugh, and I wanted a hotel that was clean, with Wi/Fi where I could crash for the night. This hotel has wi/fi but it is not what the photos portray. The photos that the hotel uses for promotion totally fail to capture what you get at this hotel. Go to Tripadvisor for photos of those who actually stayed here. This hotel is very old and run down. In the room the ceiling fan is too loud to run and to turn off the lamp next to the bed you have to unscrew the bulb. There are stains on the sheets which show that cleanliness is not part of this manager's mentality. The fuzzy TV works but the remote doesn't .... I hope you are getting the picture. The words that come to mind are: grimy, tacky and overpriced for what you get. Finally, outside, where the hotel is located, is blighted, noisy and remote. Conclusion... there has to be better property's for just a night than this.

a real luxury budget hotel
Reception was very friendly and helpful -- we went to the business center and needed to change some flights the first night we got to Delhi and they apologized profusely that another guest was on the [one] computer, and in fact called up to our room to let us know it had become available and that they were holding it for us. Our room was HUGE even by American standards, with nice hardwood floors and beautiful wood beams on the ceiling -- though I think they gave us an upgrade (couldn't understand his explanation), so that would explain the enormous size. the couch and sitting area were very clean. I'm picky about cleanliness and the sheets were immaculate, all white with no mangy duvets. the shower was the nicest we experienced in India -- a little slow to drain but lots of hot water, good water pressure. towels were old but clean. The neighborhood, Karol Bagh, sort of sucks, but we stayed in another hotel in that area as well and the Clark was about 25 times better than it for basically the same price. This is a great hotel for the money in my opinion.

Nice compromise between quality and budget
The service at the desk was fairly neutral, and they did have a guy trying to sell tours to Agra and Jaipur who was a bit annoying, but the service was very helpful and polite. On the first night we had a free upgrade but the only difference we could discern between the rooms was the size, both of which were fairly decent. Free wifi, whilst intermittent, was still appreciated. There was a fair level of street noise however being so tired from the day, and occasional help from ear plugs, meant an undisturbed and restful sleep. The area, whilst busy like most of Delhi, isn't tourist orientated, which can make a pleasant change. Auto-rickshaws are very cheap to CP (although agree a price before hand). All in all, good considering the price.

Unless you need to be in this area Karol Bagh I would never recommend this hotel. The area has no attractions other then the market - no places to eat etc. Noisy - crowded - horns hooting snd tooting 24/7 The airport pickup was a joke - had to wait for 1 hour for 2 others guests and travelled in the oldest and dirtiest car I have ever seen with luggage on my lap. The " Full breakfast " is a joke - I switched from a deluxe to a premuim room - god know what the standard or deluxe rooms must be like. However staff were very nice. But for my nexy trip I will go back to Connought area.

The room was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. The hotel staff was very efficient and courteous. We checked in within 5 minutes. 24 hour room service was a relief for us when we returned late to the hotel very hungry. You ask for anything and be assured that it will be done right away. Proximity to the train station is an added advantage. The hotel arranged for a car to drop us at the train station to help us catch a very early morning train to haridwar. I will be travelling to Delhi on a yearly basis and I will be staying in Clark Internation for sure. I am not looking elsewhere.

Good hotel in Delhi for reasonable rate
The hotel service is good. Airport pickup facility is really helpful. The rooms are good and clean. The complementary breakfast has many options to choose from. The only bad experience that I had was with a front desk manager who got rude because I gave him a local address instead of an "international" or "outside" address. However, other staff was very nice and helpful at all times. I would recommend this hotel to people traveling to Delhi if they are looking for a reasonable deal and a good place. Reviewing this hotel from the vantage point of having spent the last two weeks in various hotels all over India. I'd say this is pretty great value for the price in New Delhi. The area it's in is a bit congested but stepping into the hotel is a bit of a oasis from it all. Room service can be spotty (language issues). But otherwise okay. Good value
If you want a good value hotel in the centre of Delhi, then the Clark's for you. It is in a bustling street in Karol Bagh and the exterior is none too imposing. The interior is more reassuring and in a colonial style, with lots of polished brass and dark wood. The room we had was rather small and didn't look much like the one we thought we had booked on their website. It is probably due for an upgrade, but perfectly serviceable. The area is very busy and noisy for much of the time, and coupled with the slightly noisy A/C, this could be a problem for the light sleeper. The restuarant is very good - accommodating staff and the food we had was excellent. The management were very helpful and trustworthy.

Our room, though small, was clean. Staff, especially at front desk were friendly. Internet access was good and fast. The only thing they could have done better was to send us a bigger vechicle for airport pick-up. It was tough to load our luggages in the small car they sent, but they managed it. If you have a lot of luggage, please mention that in advance and ask them to send a bigger vechicle.
