The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming they were superb.
We were sorry the restaurant and bar were shut and there was no hot option for breakfast. (We stayed Sunday to Monday)

My wife and I stayed here for one night 20-8-26, the place is really easy to find, located in a village out in the countryside a few miles from Carlisle. Everything about the place is great, the food, the beer, the location and car parking. Best of all are the staff, really friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again on our way home from Scotland in a week and am looking forward to it. The coked breakfast is huge and really good, as is the porridge. The owner was extremely attentive, even got some decaf coffee for our room. We were able to book into our room early which was very convenient. The room was very clean and even little touches like cotton buds and cotton wool in the bathroom didn’t go unnoticed. The breakfast, wow, excellent, such a hearty meal, lots to choose from again the owner remembered I drank decaf. Attention to detail was excellent and calling me by my first name made it very welcoming and friendly. I will absolutely...

Place was easy enough to find with adequate parking right outside. On going in there was a friendly welcoming greating and there was nothing to check-in. After check-in we were asked if would be having an evening meal which we accepted. We had opted for a larger double room and it was clean and tidy and what you would expect from a rural country inn. After settling in to our room we went down to the bar area which was clean and had a nice country inn atmosphere with the log burner keeping...

Stayed for one night with my boyfriend, to get a break from it all and this was definitely the right place. Nothing was too much trouble, facilities great, bar food gorgeous, lovely atmosphere and tidy rooms. We actually had a bit of a hiccup from expedia as they sold a family room with 2 double beds that the hotel didnt have.
The receptionist Fluer (apologies if name spelt incorrect), was very helpful, polite and she made the stay that extra bit special for us and we recieved a...

You'll find a mix of modern developments and traditional East London architecture, giving it a unique character. Both Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland stations are on the London Overground, providing excellent connections across the city.
For couples looking for a lively and distinctive London experience, staying near Kingsland High Street is ideal. It's superb for exploring local markets, discovering new music venues, and enjoying diverse cuisines, from street food to upscale dining. When is the best time to go to Dalston?
The best time to visit Dalston is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.
These periods offer comfortable temperatures and less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the area on foot and enjoying outdoor markets and cafés. You'll find the streets and public spaces less crowded than in the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience.
Summer (July and August) can also be a good time, especially for those looking to experience Dalston's lively outdoor events and street art scene. While it can be warmer and busier, there are often pop-up events and festivals that add to the local buzz.
Where can I find the best nightlife in Dalston?
Dalston offers a variety of nightlife options, primarily centred around Kingsland High Street and the surrounding side streets.
Kingsland High Street is the main thoroughfare and features a mix of pubs, bars, and clubs. You'll find venues with live music, often showcasing local bands and DJs, alongside cocktail bars and traditional pubs. Many establishments here stay open until the early hours.
For something a bit different, head to the side streets off Kingsland High Street, particularly around Ashwin Street and Bradbury Street. These areas have a concentration of smaller, independent bars and music venues, often with a more relaxed feel. You might discover places specialising in particular music genres or offering experimental club nights.
