"This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. "Stale old place that doesn’t live up. Breakfast consisted of persimmon-hushing from a store tossed at the table the night before. Cold water and a tiny toilet only. The onsen „experience“ was a 20 min drive away, how relaxing is that. Needless to say, I did not stay at this dump. I booked a hotel close by for the same price, it was excellent and delivered an amazing breakfast too, besides having an in-House onsen"

"We debated between the convenience of being close to a train station and a view of the castle. So very happy to have chosen the view of the castle. Combined with the hospitality of the staff we very much enjoyed our stay in Wakayama. This hotel, and the view of the castle, made for a relaxing time."

"This is an older hotel that was taken over by the current owners and renovated it a little bit, but the staff was very friendly.And the amenities were nice.We had a late checkout time of two o'clock and there was a guest room with free snacks drinks, including beer, wine and liquor. The breakfast was probably the best I'd ever had in a hotel buffet. The french toast with truffle butter was amazing!"

"Staff was very helpful, property was well kept and clean, and breakfast was nice. We were told there would be a shuttle from the airport but when we called once we landed, we were told the shuttle was not available for us. The room lights were all or nothing, all on or all off and not adjustable. It made it difficult for one person to sleep while the other read."
