"I wanted to stay somewhere a little quirky and thought that this place would be ideal. There was a very steep lane on arrival. The hut shown in the picture is not the one we were in. We were under the impression that there was only one hut but we spotted 4 altogether. The reason I wanted the one in the photo was because it was close to the toilets as I have a stomach/digestion disorder and have to use the toilet during the night. Good location and pet friendly, close to town with a few steep steps but you quickly get used to that. "It was very cozy and safe for a mom and son solo traveling. The rooms are nice sized and the window. To the bay was huge with beautiful views and quite a nice place to people watch on the water. It's very close walking distance into town for shops and food but the working boat on property has delish meals, including Sunday roast."

"We had a fabulous weekend break at the Great Western Hotel. The room looks to have been newly refurbished and was nicely decorated. Tea coffee in the room and complementary toiletries in the bathroom was a nice touch. The bed was really comfy and the room was cleaned each day. Breakfast choice in the morning was excellent and well cooked. Hot food made to order or continental if you prefer. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We flew from Manchester, a 50 minute flight, caught the bus outside 30 minutes later we were in the hotel. It is a historic building with lots of memorabilia on the walls. We caught the bus to Perranporth and to Truro the walks and sights are fantastic… not to mention the beaches! We had a wonderful time. We will definitely be staying there again."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Falmouth Hotel. The building is beautiful, with a grand historic interior, and the lounge overlooking the sea was one of our favourite places to relax. The location is excellent, directly across from Castle Beach, within walking distance of Gyllyngvase Beach, and only a short stroll into town. We also enjoyed the indoor pool, and it would be fantastic to see the former outdoor pool restored one day. Every meal we had—from breakfast to afternoon tea, sandwiches, and fish and chips—was excellent, and the staff were consistently professional and welcoming. Our room was clean, and the free on-site parking was a significant bonus, although it did fill up during busier periods. A couple of things are worth keeping in mind: the hotel hosts weddings/receptions, and the reception during our stay continued until around midnight, which affected our sleep. We also visited during warm weather, and because the hotel does not have air conditioning, our west-facing room became quite hot despite the fan provided. Even with those minor drawbacks, the atmosphere was lovely, and the hotel felt more like a seaside resort than simply a place to sleep. It was the best out of several hotels that we stayed at during our trip. We would definitely stay here again."

"The site is nice, clean and well maintained. The food was excellent (as per my taste, but as you know... it is very subjective subject). The staff was friendly and kind. However, sorry for being picky, but the noise of a fan from a neighbor room did keep me awake for entire night. I was somehow disappointed by the advert where they were showing having bathtub in room, while actually I got just shower (yes, as you can guess, I am a big bathing person...sorry, nobody is perfect...)."

"Everything from start to finish was perfect We were greeted by friendly and ready to help staff members at the reception, nothing was too much trouble for them. Then we had a lovely spa treatment which helped us relax after a busy week. The hotel design and feel is very beautiful, the food was super delicious, the best calamari we ever had. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It definitely left a memory in our hearts, all the staff members made us feel very welcome and cared for. Strongly recommend and we will definitely come back!"
