"Woodlands was welcoming on arrival. Room was comfortable and clean with usual kettle, coffee, tea. Good size tv. Breakfast was really good. Great choice of cold and hot food (cooked perfect). Nothing is too much trouble. Close to shops etc. Would definitely stay again in this great location."

"What a find! This beautiful hall is just perfect. Fabulous location with peacocks and lovely trails to walk in the extensive grounds. Our room had a super king bed and usual facilities. There is a spacious dining room and well stocked bar. You won't go away hungry as the food is excellent with generous portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a must visit! "

"We were very pleasantly surprised on arriving at the Boutique Hotel. We were warmly greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Our suite was so much better than we had expected. In addition to the bedroom there was a room with a table for meals, a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a Sauna. Our suite did not have a 'hot tub', which the other suites had, but that did not concern us.The Breakfast menu was excellent and food was cooked to order. "Had a little 2 night break with the dog , overall stay was quite pleasing , the hosts were super friendly , breakfast was good , hot breakfast went down well .. just a little attention to detail regarding the room itself , just a couple of things that could of been cleaned .i.e the fan , mirrors and toilet brush but overall quite pleasant and relaxed stay … "

"We loved our 2 night stay at Rum Doodle! Our room was beautifully decorated, bed and pillows very comfy and we particularly appreciated the small touches (Flannels, robes, wine on arrival, breakfast service on the room).. Service was impeccable, breakfast beautiful, location quiet and near enough to the Lakes. Our best room yet in Windermere, we'll definitely come back! "

"Overall - very good and would recommend. The DVD remote wasn’t working, but the chap was straight on to it, and the next guests will have a new remote. The breakfast sausages had a burnt layer on them, but we think that’s the way they fry them. Nice people and great accommodation. "

"Nice staff, although weren’t flexible about cancelling or changing the reservation when asked. Area is nice and close to the town. Room and bathroom were nice. The bed was annoying for a couple, as it was supposed to be a superior double room but the bed was two single beds put together. The bed sheets were supposed to hold the two beds together, but it didn’t really work well. Sleeping together would mean one of you would end up sinking into the gap in between the two beds. Delicious and ample breakfast, tailored to your needs with plenty of tasty options which set us up right for a long walk. "We had a great stay here! The property was clean and had everything we needed (hoover, toaster, cutlery etc). It was nice and warm too.
