Our stay started a little bumpy, we were told that at the reservation time our card didn't go through so technically we don't have any reservation (not that anyone bothered to tell us, and we received our hotels.com confirmation and reminder emails as usual, so how could we think anything was not OK - funny though, the same card they had on file worked just fine when we asked them to try it, I won't go into conspiracy theories here and suggest they needed to give our room to someone else only to give us lame excuses after...) but they promised to fix it. Except they didn't have a pool view room available (we paid extra just for that feature) and the price was slightly higher than when we originally booked it (in January of 2017). In the end, after one hour spent on the phone with a hotels.com agent who contacted the hotel staff, they finally agreed to try and fix their own issue and they provided us with free breakfast vouchers and 10% back on our hotel price, for the different room type (regular vs. pool view) - we didn't check the card statements to make sure the 10% was actually reimbursed, will update this review soon if that doesn't happen. The rest of our stay was uneventful, we had lots of fun and even though the room was not extremely clean (we even found someone else's used bandaid on the floor, not the first thing I am looking to step on when I walk in a hotel room), the pool area was great. To be honest, for the money we paid, we expected maybe a little more.
