Corbiere Lighthouse

We really enjoyed our stay in No.2 at the Uplands Serviced Apartments and it made a convenient base for our stay in Jersey. Be aware that the apartments are on a steep hill overlooking St Hellier. Its easily walkable if you are fit and healthy - otherwise you can catch the bus which goes from just outside. If you have an electric vehicle there is convenient and cheap charging at the Powerhouse less than 5 minutes level walk away. There were a few things that could be improved to make the stay even better. - Some large glasses (e.g. pint glasses) would be really useful. - Replace the shelf in the fridge so it is adjustable and fix the freezer compartment door so it actually shuts and does not attempt to freeze the entire fridge. - The appartment is only serviced once a week - no matter when your stay starts so it was serviced very early in our 5 night stay. It didn't matter to us. - It was nice to have an outside area to sit in but it could be made more attractive and welcoming.

The hotel was right on the beach which was easily accessible via steps. The sand really was golden and fine, perfect for kids. Breakfast was very good. The view from our room was great, looking over the entire bay. We kept our windows open at night to hear the waves and feel the breeze. There was no air conditioning so this was necessary on hot days.
