Excellent location: streetscape on southern side, ocean views on the northern side of hotel. 10-15 easy walk to the main restaurant area....excellent staff and service....was recommended to stay here by travel agent and friends who had both stayed here before....
The hotel is well situated. Breakfast was good. The view from our room was spectacular (ocean view room). The front desk staff was very helpful.
Fantastic. So close to the beach!!! The staff is lovely!!? amazing location. Walkable everywhere! $39 per night parking
This property presents very well and the facilities were great. Close enough to the main strip and old town was about a 15 minute stroll. Cannot fault the hotel for anything, it as very nice and modern.
Great location. Very close to the beach and to great places to eat. The staff at reception were wonderful and very helpful.
Could not fault this incredible hotel! A++++ Location was incredible but also the actual hotel was stunning. Loved every single thing about it
It was excellent. Beautiful building, excellent location. Staff were top class. My only comment would be that this hotel would benefit from a small spa/pool to unwind after a day exploring San Sebastian and the region.
Well located hotel with good facilities and comfy rooms. On arrival however there was no parking available which meant my husband spent about an hour searching for parking in the surrounding streets. Not ideal, annoying when parking was part of the reason we chose the hotel. Bikes available to hire ...
The hotel staff were most friendly and helpful. However, I had to point out that the room I had suffered somewhat from traffic noise late in the evenings and early night time. The breakfasts were good value with a lot of choice on offer. The hotel is located somewhat far out from the centres of activity ...
Whatever time of year you visit San Sebastian, you’ll find yourself drawn to one of the city’s biggest attractions, Playa de la Concha, or Concha Beach. It’s one of the finest city beaches in Europe, and not to be missed.
Mile-long Playa de la Concha has fine white sand and plenty of beach clubs where you can rent a sunlounger. There’s also a large public area if you’re happier with a towel and your own sun shade. Because of its sheltered position, Playa de la Concha is safe for very young children. But strike out further for a swim and relax on one of the bathing platforms moored beyond the shallow waters.
Monte Urgull curves around Playa de la Concha’s eastern end, and Monte Igueldo covers the western side, where you can rent water-sport equipment at Playa de Ondaretta. Or you could hop on the ferry out to Isla de Santa Clara, a tiny island in the bay, for some peace and quiet on its little beach.
Stay in one of the hotels on Playa de la Concha’s beachfront, which range from comfortable one-star hostels steps from the sand to luxury five-star hotels with pools and ocean views. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of the old town, Casco Viejo, choose from a selection of one-, two- and three-star traditional or contemporary hotels steps from San Sebastian’s best pintxos bars.
Or stay in one San Sebastian’s guesthouses, pensions and self-catering apartments for a more personal experience.
At the western end of Playa de la Concha, you can visit Miramar Palace, the former home of the Spanish royal family. Take a tour inside this English-style palace and enjoy a stroll around its beautifully landscaped gardens.
If you’re looking views of the coast, you’re spoilt for choice. Take the funicular up Monte Igueldo to enjoy sweeping vistas from one of its panoramic terraces. On Monte Urgull, you can wander along the shaded paths up the hill to the small castle at the summit, where there’s a museum tracing 800 years of San Sebastian’s history. Time your visit for sunset for unforgettable views.
