"Everything was satisfactory, staff friendly and welcoming. One thing that surprised me was that breakfast is not served until 0830am, I had to be somewhere at 9am so no good for me."

"A fantastic rustic building set amongst some very picturesque settings with well kept grounds and straight off a main road close to the village of Chard. I was checked in by welcoming and friendly staff who showed me to my room. A nicely decorated room included hot chocolate which was a bonus (most accommodation only off tea and coffee). The bathroom was nice and clean although the shower could have done with better water pressure. I took an hour long walk along the nearby country lanes and took in some lovely scenic views. There were some dining options in and around Chard as well as the Hotel itself. The bed was really comfy and provided a full night's sleep which can be hard to attain when on the road. Breakfast was fantastic with both cooked and cold options and everything was cooked to perfection. I will be sure to look at staying here again given the opportunity."

"Tired and needing a good airing, but a good space with useful amenities. Having booked 2 double rooms we were given a suite and a double room - but the suite had no hot water so everyone had to use the other bathroom. The location was great and parking easily available. Beds were quite comfortable."
