The property is off the beaten track but in a really safe place with a number of shops bars and restaurants. Sit down or a wick bite. Market is nearby too. V15 bus connects the beach, city and the hotel to the Tibidabo mountain resort. Best take the metro first and connect with V15 later elsewhere of heading to the beach.
The interior is top notch. Staff are friendly and precise. The cleaners who turn the room down are great and do work around your lie-ins.
Couldn't ask for a nicer place in Barcelona. To stay and to start my self propelled discovery of the city

The lady at the front desk (Fernandina) was very nice and helpful, who made our stay in Barcelona exceptional and memorable. My wife and I found your hotel browsing through Expedia by chance. We're very glad we found Dorma Catalonia Plaza hotel, which has a great location in the city! The morning buffet is excellent.

"It was cheaper than most about $35 each for 4 people, parking on street was good and felt safe.. the shower was not very good with dollar store curtain that did not work at all, there was no oven but did have some microwave that can grill (i guess). the keys and door were not very easy to use and ..."
