"The Away Place was amazing. It was exactly as described. It was beautiful with all the amenities. We chose to stay in at the cabin and enjoy the back deck and hot tub. But if weather had been better, the lake would have been great for kayaking and fishing. There are kayaks on the property. There are plenty of outdoor activities close nearby as well as restaurants. "This is a great property in excellent condition. It is a little off the bearen path and if your looking for peace and quiet, this is your place. The host was excellent to work with and I will be back again in the future. Just a quick note that the internet is not perfect but if you have a streaming account, it works fine."

"This cabin was so cute, and smelled so fresh and clean upon walking in. There are multiple cabins nearby, but the way they are placed, you still feel like you’re in your own private campground of sorts. The fire pit and hot tub were awesome, and the bed was SUPER comfortable. Two small recommendations: the shower could really use a mat, as it does get pretty slippery. I would also look into adding some sugar and powder creamer to use with the provided coffee. Can’t wait to come back for...

"Everyone was very satisfied with the layout of the house we stayed in. We had two boats and the double carport worked out just fine keeping our boats out of the weather. Just a short drive to the lake and we had our boats on the water. We would recommend this house to anyone needing to stay in the Scottsboro area . If available next year we will be staying there again ! Two things would help new guests coming in would be a picture of the house and a phone number listed for the property manager ."
