Retreat at Saviour Trail, New Mexico for your Reunion or Family get away
Home is about 1500 square feet, set on 10 acres of pasture and woodlands. Carefully decorated for our family—welcoming; seems like home. Knotty pine cabinets and trim with Wood and carpet floors. Gorgeous; private view of the mountains, (7700 elevation). Very peaceful and somewhat secluded. Lots of wildlife: we see elk, deer, and turkey on the property, and have heard mountain lions, and seen evidence of bear. When in season we have several varieties of visiting hummingbirds. Bring your 4 wheelers, bikes, and skies. In the winter there is a nearby (5 mile) ski area; ice-skating in the village; tubing and sledding hills on the property. Ruidoso and White Sands are about 40 miles away. Trail maps for hiking and riding in the vicinity, including maps of Lincoln National Forest are available. Restaurant and shopping guide in the village (Cloudcroft, 7 miles away). Golf-course available at the Lodge, great restaurant! 4-Wheel Drive Vehicle is advisable during the winter! Horses and pets (for a fee) are allowed.
During the winter months 4 wheel drive is advisable.

Our group loved staying at this cabin. It was very comfortable for seven people, and it was super clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful night spent with family after mountain fun! Beautiful quaint cabin, amazing property with room to explore. Not far from Cloudcroft town and ski area. Will definitely look to book with this host for future visits.
We really loved our stay at the cabin. It was very cozy, clean, and cute. With beautiful views and quiet soroundings. It had everything we needed and more. The host was very attentive and helpful. We highly recommend it.
For sure we will return. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed, great mountain view. Our family enjoyed a lot and will return here each time we come to Cloudcroft.
We love the location of this cabin and it is very cozy and comfortable. We were able to ride our side by side right from the cabin every day and enjoyed the view from the large glass window. Loved sitting on the porch every morning just looking at the scenery. We love staying at this cabin.
We absolutely lovr staying here!!! Perfect location, plenty of room for the kids. Love front porch sitting and enjoying the room to walk around and just be out with no interruptions.
We spent one night after attending a nearby wedding. The owner was flexible in allowing us to check in early to get ready. The place was very nice and extremely peaceful.
We very much enjoyed our short stay.
We stayed at this property to celebrate Thanksgiving with our son who works in Carlsbad. Coming from Colorado the location was gorgeous with all the amenities needed for a relaxing holiday. We were visited by turkeys, deer and elk during our stay and being able to have our dogs along was the reason behind using VRBO vs a hotel. Thanks to great communication with Rusty our trip was absolutely amazing.
This little retreat is absolutely magical! It’s everything you could want in a cabin, plus, the added bonus of snow! The wood stove put off ample cozy heat for the beautiful winter day we had!
This cabin was an excellent stay for our family of 7. The property was a cozy, lovely place with full amenities. The fridge and kitchen has a rotating pantry and staples fyi. The beds were comfy, the wood burning stove warmed the cabin perfectly, plenty of charming touches throughout. We did come in from ruidoso and gps took us through a very long unpaved route, good to know. Otherwise the home is a perfect getaway!
This property was well equipped and very comfortable for our family. The cabin was tucked back against the forrest- close to neighbors but still secluded. We saw lots of wildlife during our stay and enjoyed the benefits of being close to town for restaurants, but also enjoyed disconnecting. It felt like staying at grandmas cabin in the woods!
We loved the location ,view, deer, elk and birds. The front porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the cool mountain air !! We will go back !!
Had our family over for playing games and meals. Great place for pot luck dinners !!
This home was such a nice surprise, from its location, open floor plan, scenery, wildlife, and roomy bedrooms. We enjoyed the fire pit while looking at the stars. Pool table was so much fun. Owner was easy to communicate with. We are already trying to plan another get away trip so we can enjoy some snow while sitting in the rocking chairs, on the deck and looking and the forest while sipping hot cocoa.
Lovely older cabin with modern necessities, (heat, hot water, electric.) Semi-secluded but near main road to Cloudcroft. Beautiful views off front porch where deer and elk appear in the evening and early morning. Pool table in the basement provided entertainment. Overall a comfortable, rustic getaway in the Lincoln National Forest. Make sure you get detailed instructions on how to access the cabin.
This cabin was everything we wanted to have for an unforgettable Christmas Day. The cabin was cozy and homey. The fireplace was picturesque with the big windows behind it and the trees outside. It was easy to find and had planty of space to park a huge Chevy Express 15 passenger van. The property owner was very easy to get a hold of and very very sweet and kind. This was a most excellent experience. Highly recommend.
Property was a little more run down that shows in the pictures from the outside. Communication with the property manager/owner was a little difficult as it would take her long to respond to questions. The inside of the property was really nice and it was clean other than a lot of spiders and little dusty. Overall it was good stay and we all had a great time.
We came Cloudcroft to spread my MIL’s ashes on the 1 year anniversary of her passing. The whole family came up and everyone got their own place to stay. We were wanting to get together and have a cookout the night before and none of the other host would allow many people. I contacted our host and they said that would be fine. Our house was the favorite of everyone’s. We all went on a hike through the beautiful mountain woods. The kids played frisbee while hotdogs were being cooked and it was just an overall great experience and the hosts were amazing. The house was beautiful, clean, and so cozy. My favorite part was the big front porch with rocking chairs and the huge window in the living area looking out into the woods and being able to watch the many hummingbirds flying up to the feeder. I would definitely love to come back and stay here again.

Amazing cabin in an amazing location!!
This cabin is beautiful and the location is unmatched!! Watching the elk in the meadow every morning while drinking coffee was magical!! The kids loved the treehouse. They had a zip line but we opted not to use it. If you’re looking for a calm and magical place this is it. The only thing we had an issue with was the cleanliness of the cabin. There was hair all over the master bathroom, looked like someone had shaved their beard and never cleaned up after it. The sheets and bedding smelt odd so we washed them before bed and all was good. communication could have been a bit better. Asked the day we got there for the Wi-Fi information and never received a text back the 5 days we were there. I found it under the night stand in one of the smaller rooms on top of the modem. So if you book with them, that’s where it’s hiding aside from those two things it was perfection!! Would stay again in a heart beat!
The location is great. We liked the patio. The house needs a good cleaning, especially kitchen cabinet handles, and the floor. The kitchen cabinets need to be emptied from all the half full old condiments and food, same with the fridge. Icemaker didn't work. We couldn't find a barbecue or ping-pong table. Ping pong table is advertised in the details. Pool table is located below the house in the unfinished garage with low ceiling, the smell was moist. Bear fur on the wall and old leather sofa and cow chair in the living room is not everybodies style.
very cozy and comfortable cabin. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were very comfortable. The location was fantastic, we saw deer in the front field every day and elk as well. We’ve stayed at a number of locations in Cloudcroft and this has been the best we will come back
