"The reception staff were so friendly and always happy to help. Lovely to have access to a small spa after a day of walking, nice hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room. Good range of drinks at the bar. Free parking is a bonus and location was great only a 10min walk from Grasmere and a bus stop close to the hotel to reach Ambleside, Keswick and Kendall. Only thing that really lets the place down is the stained carpets!"

Onion rings hard and dripping in fat. Mussels overcooked and way too salty. Breakfast next morning was lukewarm. "
