From check in to check out the staff were extremely friendly. As this was our first time in Sydney, I asked the lady at the check in counter to help with some recommendations (I forgot her name sorry!!). She was super helpful and even gave us detailed instructions on a map. Not only that, but she even moved us to a higher floor so we could have a nicer view of the city. Throughout our entire stay the staff greeted us with smiles and always helped us with any requests (super efficient too!). The hotel itself is located right by the harbour so you could easily walk to the Opera House or take the ferry/transit to other areas of the city. Excellent location with really good views of the city. Would definitely recommend!
Spent 5 nights recently, very laid back, helpful staff, no complaints except the noise on weekend nights but honestly the cooling unit in the room drowned out the noise and provided white noise. Nice bar, restaurant with nice bands on weekend nights providing a lovely Irish Pub atmosphere. Toast, cereal, juice, tea and coffee at complimentary breakfast and a lovely surprise on Saturday with a cooked egg/tomato/bacon breakfast. You wouldn't get a better location for these rates, as long as you're OK with using one of the (normally very clean) shared bathrooms.
This hotel is positioned in the centre of all the pubs cafes and restaurants of The Rocks area.
Plus it is only 1 street back from the Circular Quay bay and ferries.
We had a Studio room which was very spacious a good sized bathroom quite comfortable and an unexpected little kitchenette which came in quite handy.
Staff were friendly and helpful too.
Will recommend and we would stay again
Having a view of the Opera House was a lovely surprise. The hotel was easy to get to from the train station. The directions given by the staff were very accurate. All staff members were extremely accommodating and friendly.the room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was right in the heart of the Rocks and just a short walk from the restaurant I was heading to for a friends 50th. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.
Pocket Guide: Sydney Circular Quay - The Rocks Hotels
Hugging the harbour, this district is a monument to sensitive urban planning, with well-preserved cobbled lanes and a Colonial streetscape marking it as Sydney’s oldest district. Locals and visitors mingle here amid designer boutiques, al fresco cafés, lively pubs, galleries, museums, and some of the city’s best restaurants. The weekend markets are not to be missed.
