Buzzy and lively vibe with loads to see and do. After seeing the obligatory sights like the Harbour, the Rocks etc, take the time to visit Surry Hills neighbourhood, easily walkable from the central area. Interesting vibe going on in a period area.

In general Sydney is a wonderful city. Hire a car and explore but good Sat-Nav is a must. Some of the road networks in Sydney are a little confusing. Once out of the city it was okay.

Transport around the city excellent with opal card, very large area to cover in a few days. Loads of things to do, plenty of eating places and wide variety. Lots of free activities as well as the more expensive but worth while trips
