I have to say the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. There is no reception, so you get an email with entry codes. Simple. The main annoyance was the cheap mattress through which you can feel and hear the springs. But if you have had a few drinks or are tired will not be a problem. And the loo seat was loose. But it's cheap and a shortish walk from the cathedral and city, so it's fine. Person emailing was nice too.

The host was absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t have asked for any more. Apartment was well equipped and considering being in the middle of all the bars and clubs was very well sound insulated. I would recommend to family’s that this is in the middle of a busy nightlife part of Liverpool so may not be suitable for young children. But workers/couples or friends it’s absolutely ideal for being in the centre. Thank you so much :) Sam

Clean room and really close to Anfield stadium

Absolutely disgraceful experience and easily one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. We booked the Arthouse Hotel in Liverpool for two nights and also paid directly for an upgrade. After checking in, our entire group was later made to leave because staff alleged that one person in our group had urinated outside the property. We were initially told there was CCTV footage of the incident. When we asked to see it, this changed to there “probably” being footage, and despite asking, no CCTV or other evidence was ever shown to us. Regardless of the allegation involving one person, the whole group was removed and we did not stay either night. We also asked to speak to a manager or someone senior but were not given the opportunity. We have repeatedly tried to resolve the matter and obtain a refund, but have had no satisfactory resolution. Very disappointing experience from start to finish and I certainly would not stay here again
