General, room
———————
We stayed here during the off season but the hotel was still quite busy with Italian couples in town for a spa weekend. The rooms are basic but very nice. Ours was a large ‘triple’, with a double bed and a single for our child, with very high ceilings and a balcony. The pics attached are of the views of the surrounding countryside.
Eating
———-
Our only experience of the hotel food was for breakfast which was standard Italian fare - largely very sweet with cakes, biscuits, jams, chocolate spread etc but great coffee. For dinner in winter the hotel restaurant is closed so you must dine out. That’s not a problem though as it’s close to multiple restaurants; we ate at a really nice pizza restaurant across the street.
Spa facilities
——————
The hotel has a well appointed spa on the lower level but sadly it’s not terribly family friendly as children are only allowed to access it from 9am-10am or 3pm-4pm so we didn’t really take advantage of it. However, a 5min drive from the hotel is the wonderful thermal spa complex that Chianciano Terme is famous for. It has multiple indoor and outdoor pools with water spouts of varying temperatures. Remember to bring a towel or a robe or you’ll have to buy or hire one!
