"I’ve stayed at the Mason’s Arms twice now, and both times it’s been exceptional. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and warm, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is fantastic. I’ll go out of my way to stay here in future."

We loved the place: it’s a charming, quaint old cottage that’s had a sympathetic B&B conversion and is exceptionally neat, tidy and spotlessly clean.
James and Katherine are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and good fun.
Everything in the breakfast room was beautifully presented and laid out with precision, and the hearty breakfast was, of course, exceptional! Everything is home-made or sourced locally. James makes his own bread, preserves and granola.
Our room was “bijou” but...

This is a hidden gem. Rooms were well appointed with a really comfortable bed, high quality linens and towels and the white stuff products in bathroom. Breakfast was superb. Staff really friendly and helpful. Location was idyllic.

We stayed at the marquis for one night as we were attending a wedding nearby. We had a lovely stay everyone was really friendly and helpful. The room was really nice with a comfortable bed and great view, and a tasty breakfast was included the next day. We would highly recommend staying if you're in the area, the location is fantastic and though we were only there for a short visit we hope to come back some day to spend some more time exploring the area!

Amazing property, well thought out and furnished with excellent views. Staff were excellent too and you had a really nice lemon cake to share.
Only downside was the main spa in the pictures was not included and was an extra £35 per hour, per person and we were told we needed to book 2 weeks in advance! There is a hot tub and sauna in the garden which is nice.
