This property was lovely! We rented upstairs and down because we are a family of five adults. Rooms were comfortable, showers were a delight and the outdoor spaces were picturesque and a pleasure to relax in. The kitchens were small and there seemed to be no good way to dry dishes by hand or passively. This location ended up being the best of Chania. It was quiet and authentic but steps from loads of restaurants that ranged from casual local eateries to sexy bars. The best part of this location was the 5 minute walk to Koum Kapi beach. Really this is a stretch of heavenly ocean along a stone retaining wall with a small beach at one end. We never went as far as the beach, preferring instead to walk down the stairs right into the ocean - we would stuff our belongings into the stone retaining wall. Here we would swim with locals and tourists. It was never crowded, it was clean and the bottom was soft sand. Such a treasure! This location was also convenient because it was a 5 minute walk from a large, free parking lot for the East Moat Theatre. When we explored the Venetian Harbour area, we were so relieved that we were not staying there because it was incredibly crowded and noisy. This was truly a gem of a rental. ##### Susan L. The property was lovely…looks recently updated (impeccably) yet it still has beautiful old town charm. Perfect setting for our girl’s getaway. Konstantinos, the manager, was incredibly helpful, responsive and kind. He assisted us with bags and guided us to the best parking in the area when we arrived. He gave us recommendations for great places to eat. I’m thrilled to be staying there a second time at the end of our two-week trip. I highly recommend this property. ##### Diana J. We were a family of four, including two older teens and rented both the upper and lower units. The apartments are nicely decorated, maintaining much of the traditional old town style (loved the walls with exposed stone), while also being very modern and updated (nice bathrooms with good water pressure, good wifi, sounds systems, etc). There's also a nice balcony in the upper unit, as well as a rooftop patio. The lower unit felt slightly more spacious, but had less natural light and didn't have access to the balcony and rooftop patio. The upper unit had a little less space (smaller kitchen and couch area), but more natural light. The one call out is that each apartment is a bit narrow/small in space. For example, with two of us in one of the upstairs bedrooms, there was just enough room to carefully walk around the bed, and there was no room for a suitcase or bag on the floor. The upstairs bathroom is also a bit tight. I would not recommend 4 adults or 2 adults/2 older children in one apartment. But with both upstairs and downstairs (using 4 of the four bedrooms), we were very comfortable. We liked being on the edge of Old Town. It was a great location and very convenient to walk everywhere - nice to go for dinner, walk around in the morning and evening, and then to be able to come back to rest (and cool off). The host, Constantinos was very helpful. Communication with him was timely and easy, and he was more than happy to provide us suggestions for restaurants, cafes, etc. We stayed 3 nights, and ended up doing a day trip to Elephonissi one day, and to Falassarna another day (our favorite beach) . So we didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment. But we found the 3 nights to be just right in terms of exploring Old Town Chania in the morning and evenings, and having a comfortable place at the end of our days exploring.
