This hotel is very well situated near the main shopping street and the waterfront. Reception staff were very helpful and the room was a good size and clean.
Down side would be the lighting especially the bar area and reception and also on the stairs. The rooms had variable lighting control but it could be better. They have tried to be too fancy in design and not thought about practicality.
Breakfast was adequate but not exciting. Not replenished fast enough to keep up with demand. Needs to be more choice of fruit.
We stayed at this hotel from 11th - 13th September 2015, we were checked in quickly and went to our room, it was very spacious and clean and had a great view of the opera house, the decor is slightly strange, with daisies and cigarette butts for the wallpaper which I didn't understand but it didnt detract from the experience. The hotel is in a great location, couldn't be more central for exploring Oslo and is right next to the central train station. All in all we had a great stay here and would definitely recommend.

It was my second stay. The hotel is reliable and I have experienced quiet single person rooms.
I love the location. Brekfast is pretty reasonable in content; normal for Norway.
Sink is rather uncomfortable and there is no space for toiletries.
Closet unreasonably narrow, and limited other places to hang garments. Requires creativity,

Loved this hotel for my 5-day stay sightseeing trip in Oslo. It's an easy walk in to the city centre (don't use taxis in Oslo they are very expensive - as is everything BTW - e.g. about £2.20 for a Snickers Bar / £9.00 a lager). It's in a lovely quiet residential neighbourhood up the hill from the city - about 10 mins walk to main centre. My standard room on the second floor was small but cosy, modern and charming and had a very nice comfy bed and huge pillows. Bathroom was toilet / sink and a very good power shower. There was no room noise or outside noise at all. A fantastic all-you-can eat buffet breakfast is included and it has got everything - hot / cold / fruit / cakes / toast / breads/ yogs / cereals you name it. Fill up here and you won't need lunch. This was a fantastic hotel - great staff / easy access to city and comfortable - perfect.
Friendly and welcoming staff who went out of their way to be helpful. The buffet breakfast was outstanding with so much choice to suit all tastes. The staff at Bocca Italian restaurant in the evening were delightful, very friendly and efficient. A lovely atmosphere and a pleasure to dine there with excellent food. Families with very young children were suitably catered for as well as the older folks.
