"Decent spot, not the greatest… They earn a 5-star review simply because of Carlos Guatemala, he came to us by the pool side and asked us if everything was okay with the resort. We explained to him the room we were on was falling apart, the door was coming off the hinges, the bathroom marble cracked split in half, shower ceiling fountain wasn’t working. He understood and went and checked to see if he could fix that or get us a new room. He ended up getting us a swim -up pool. Other than that I would’ve gave that place a One star. Thank you again Carlos. There’s not even a welcome drink which was weird, even Temptation resort offers that haha. Food is decent at best"

"The property is a nice size, easy to get around. Great room options, from pool to swim out to beach front. Food options are fantastic! No reservations needed at resteraunts, which is so nice. Entertainment in the evening is ok. We would definitely return!"

"My experience at the Riu in Cabo San Lucas was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and taken care of. The resort is stunning — beautifully maintained grounds, sparkling pools, and breathtaking ocean views everywhere you turn. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well‑appointed, with daily housekeeping that went above and beyond. The food was excellent with plenty of variety, whether at the buffets or the specialty restaurants. I especially loved the fresh seafood and the fun themed nights. The entertainment team kept the energy high all day, and the evening shows were genuinely impressive. The beach access was perfect, and watching the sunrise over the water was unforgettable. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. This resort exceeded my expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a relaxing, fun, and luxurious getaway in Cabo, the Riu is the place to be. I can’t wait to come back."

"Everything is great, but we recommend that when they clean the room, they vacuum a little. We would also recommend adding foam to the pool, that would be cool, everything else was great"

"Good hotel. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because breakfast buffet basically has no AC and it’s extremely hot in the morning and was not comfortable at all. Otherwise staff is great, food is good too."
