"I stayed here for work. 1st night, the room was clean but quite basic. I got woken up at 12.15 am by a group of drunken men who didn’t stop with their noise until 5 am. I told reception the next day and they moved me to a much better and quieter room the next day. Food was excellent in the restaurant. I didn’t try the spa. Staff very welcoming."

"Second stay, just as enjoyable as the first. Staff are friendly, rooms are a good size though it can be a bit of a walk from reception and a little maze like. Nice location although the building itself is showing signs of its age. Spa downstairs is well equipped and there are lots of peacocks wandering around the grounds. Area is very nice, close to Snowdon, not too far from Chester or the coast. "

"If you don’t want to stay up till early hours of the morning, best to book somewhere else. We paid a high amount for the room to find we was above the bar with music playing till early hours of the morning."

"Staff were pleasant room was lovely we had the honeymoon suite. Breakfast was spot on. Only thing that lets the hotel down is no bar so if you fancied a nightcap, you couldn’t get one. But would definitely recommend this hotel so the only downside is no Bar but can live with that."

"Clean room, comfortable bed, easy self check-in and a kettle and tea /coffee were appreciated. The room was small (don’t bring too much luggage) and the shower head bracket was broken but for what I paid I was very happy with the value and standard of the room."
