Great Western Hotel

"Just returned from a short but sweet stay at the Great Western Newquay at the beginning of September. Having stayed previously, i generally knew what to expect, although this time it was apparent that the wear and tear of many busy summers had really caught up with the place and it is all in need of a serious refurbishment. The public areas such as the stairwells, corridors and reception areas in particular are like a throwback to decades past. The location is great and has to to be the hotels biggest selling points. There are many rooms that will have sea views, as well as the bar and restaurant areas all having great views too. The hotel is just far enough away from some of the more "lively" parts of Newquay, that if you end up with a road side room at the front of the hotel, theres less chance you'll be disturbed than some other hotels a little further down. It's also close enough to plenty of other eating areas and a short walk to the town centre to not be considered ti be "out of the way" in any shape or form and ofcourse minutes from both Great Western and Tolcarn beaches. Furthermore there is a bus stop directly outside the front of the property with services towards Padstow, Newquay Airport, St Austell and Truro. Additionally, Newquay railway station is just a 2 minute walk over the road as well! We stayed in a sea view room overlooking the Great Western beach. The views are of course delightful. The room itself was very clean and although very dated well kept."
The Falmouth Hotel

"I would recommend this hotel we had a lovely visit the staff are very friendly, the location is brilliant, the cooked breakfast was freshly cooked and served at the table which is so much nicer. The only thing was the lift had broken down so we had to climb lots of flights of stairs, as long as the lift is repaired we would definitely come back. Thanks we had a great stay."

"Wonderful stay at the Queens Hotel, made even better by Firuze on the team who looked after us so well. She was so kind, attentive, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. That kind of genuine care really makes a difference and turned a good stay into a great one. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent hotel about 10-15 walk from city centre. Very spacious room. Historic building with a former chapel at the front entrance. I can imagine it makes a great wedding venue."
