"The entrance to the car park is very tight and narrow. We have a large car so parked on the road. We received a frosty reception from the person behind the bar. We arrived at 8:45 to be told that they had stopped serving food but that there were plenty of places around serving food. This was not the case. The only place serving food was full and all takeaway restaurants were closed. We walked for at least 1/2 an hour trying to find somewhere. Our room was on the top of a very steep spiral staircase, the corridor was not lit and we couldn’t find a light switch. The room was ok but was at the front of the hotel and was very noisy all night. There was a large blood stain on the bath, and generally the room needed some TLC. We were concerned the next morning when we left our room and saw that the fire door was not closed properly and it didn’t look like a safe exit. Breakfast was absolutely fine and the staff were really nice but they were clearly understaffed. "
