"We enjoyed our overnight stay. After a long drive the room was clean, the shower was strong, and the. Ire was beautiful. We enjoyed breakfast delivered right to our door in the Light Blue suite. Luca was very helpful when we lost our way and came outside to meet/find us. Sometimes gps can be confusing on small streets and Luca left us very good directions and vantage points. The only thing we did t expect were the few flight of stairs going down and then up again. "

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and a good size with a balcony. Breakfasts were very good. Madonna del Carmine is a little way from the centre of Agropoli but within easy drive/taxi ride.

A true gem. A lovely boutique hotel in the old town of Agropoli, overlooking the Celento Sea, within walking distance of the port, beach and the Castelo.
Antonino and Lea at reception were very helpful, provided info on the area and answered our questions; as was Antonia who served us breakfast-you could see she really cared to do her best in the job.
Overall a wonderful hotel, with style, great location and great service.

The staff were friendly and welcoming on my arrival. I booked a double deluxe room and was given the largest room on arrival. It was clean, quiet and very spacious for one person. I slept very well during my stay as the bed was extremely comfortable. The gardens are well maintained and spacious and the area around the pool is a haven of tranquility. It’s unfortunate that the pools are not large enough to swim in. Breakfast was sufficient, although I had to request a cappuccino on several...

Great location. Owner very accommodating allowing us to leave our cases until check in. Owner responded very swiftly to any issues we had.
Be aware there are many steps down to entrance and then stairs up to the accommodation.
Breakfast ordering was a bit of a phaff having to download an app and each guest had to create an account in order to choose breakfast items.

Private special location. Once you arrive at the castle, no need to worry of anything, the great staff will take good care of you and your stay. We stayed for 2 nights, a special thanks to Davide who guided us through out our stay, have excellent knowledge of wine, food and property values, as well as story of the castle. Salvatore, is an excellent chef, person and the beautiful career he had you can definately taste it in the plates, so tasy, elegant and carefully chosen, thank you for having...

Second time staying here in 2 years and enjoyed my stay even more. The staff are great and always looking to accommodate any requests. Only thing missing to make this a dream stay is if it had a pool

The best areas to stay in Camella are the historic centre for convenience and the hillside areas just outside the centre for views and tranquility.
The historic centre of Camella is the heart of the town, characterised by its narrow, winding streets, historic buildings, and bustling piazzas. It's a pedestrian-friendly area where you'll find most of the town's shops, restaurants, and local markets. The main piazza, Piazza Umberto I, is a central meeting point, and from here, you can easily access attractions like the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
Couples often find the historic centre appealing for its convenience and romantic atmosphere. Staying here means you're just steps away from delightful trattorias for dinner, charming cafes for morning espresso, and boutique shops for a leisurely browse. It's great for those who enjoy strolling through ancient streets and soaking in the local culture without needing to rely on transport.
For those prioritising stunning vistas and a more relaxed pace, the hillside areas surrounding Camella's centre are an excellent choice. These areas, like those along Via Tragara or Via Matermania, offer hotels and villas with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and the Faraglioni rock formations. While a short walk or a funicular ride might be needed to reach the main piazza, the views from your accommodation are unparalleled.
Solo travellers looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate the hillside's quiet elegance. Here, you can enjoy morning coffee on a private terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, take serene walks along scenic paths, and return to a calm environment after exploring the bustling centre.
When is the best time to go to Camella?
The best time to visit Camella is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to October).
These months offer pleasant weather conditions, with warm but not excessively hot temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the region's outdoor attractions and enjoying the coastal scenery. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular sites and beaches.
Late spring is particularly lovely for couples, as the landscape is lush and green, and the scent of citrus blossoms fills the air. It's a wonderful time for romantic strolls through vineyards or along the coast, and you can enjoy al fresco dining without the intense summer heat.
Early autumn is also excellent for couples, especially those interested in culinary experiences. This period coincides with grape harvests and other local produce, offering opportunities for wine tastings and enjoying the freshest regional cuisine.
