"What a lovely place to spend time on you travels! A lovely property set in a rural location, great facilities and an excellent bar/restaurant. The weather was fabulous that day so spent the evening in the lovely beer garden, but indoor dining rooms/spaces also looked good. The welcome was warm and efficient (I’d only booked a few hours before turning up) and the staff really made the stay very pleasant/comfortable. Definitely a place to stay if you’re in the area."

"I didn't feel that the breakfast justified the £13 price, so I probably wouldn't choose that again. The restaurant prices were about what I'd expect for a decent pub meal, and the pie was absolutely delicious – easily the highlight of the food for me. One downside was that the bar and seating area, which was the only comfortable place to sit and do some work on my laptop, closed at 9:30 pm. After that, there was nowhere suitable to work or socialise other than outside, the reception area, or returning to the room. The reception area wasn't really practical for working, and the room itself only had a small table, making it less suitable as a workspace. As a result, once the bar closed, you were effectively confined to your room for the rest of the evening. Would I stay there again? Possibly, if there were no better alternatives available, but it wouldn't be my first choice."

"Super pub close to the town centre with decent hotel rooms in an adjoining building. Breakfast was very good and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There isn’t parking on-site but there is a good and cheap car park less than 10 minutes walk away, as well as limited on-street parking if you’re lucky. I will stay again. Recommended."
