I was allocated an inferior room by the staff without them checking I had booked a sweet ...Reception staff lacked empathy ...Once they realised I had booked an Ivy Suite this wasn’t available either and to recover the situation we selected a room from 4 that were available..Had to park the car about a 3/4 mile walk from the hotel ...Normally looked after better than this as have stayed many times ..

We had a very bad experience with breakfast. We had booked but was not able to go into the restaurant to eat and instead placed at a very low table at the back of the lounge. This was very uncomfortable for my elderly husband. I then had a muffin that should have been toasted and was not and the rest of the meal was very cold. We were then over charge for the meals. This was all very disappointing for what we feel is a well respected hotel.
