We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum). The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving. Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. Fantastic stay and facilities, we thoroughly enjoyed out little hideaway. This place is a hidden gem and we definitely will be back. Only downfalls are the fact that it isn't advertised so well as this property has huge potential, gym is a little on the small side and it most definitely could do with a onsite restaurant for gain revenue for the place to maximise the income but it didnt effect our stay as we had all the facilities we needed in our lodge and planned on going out anyhow.

Booked for a couple of nights while visiting alton towers and found the place superb value. Food in restaurant good and staff were very friendly and helpful. Also didn't add breakfast at the time of booking and when we asked to add for the 2 days when checking in the receptionist added for no extra charge. Would definitely and will be returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else visiting the area.

Nice hotel situated close to branston water park convenient for groceries and a couple of nice pubs nearby. Hotel clean tidy and run by a professional staff highly recommended

This was the ideal stopover, we found the reception, public areas and our room clean and well cared for. All the staff we met, from the moment we arrived till the moment we left friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and found the choice, presentation and taste really good.

The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Had a great overnight stay. Lovely room with view on golf course. Nice to have bath with separate shower. Reception team very kind and helpful as were the staff in Roosters restaurant and the breakfast room. I took advantage of the nearby included gym and pool (12 min drive or the hotel also has a free bookable shuttle). All in all I was very impressed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good stay all round. Staff were lovely, food was lovely and everything was spot on. The rooms are a little dated but very well maintained. For what you pay, you really can’t complain. Would definitely stay again.

Only stayed for one night on way home, wished was longer. Fabulous hotel in a lovely setting that would be a perfect base for local attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room great with gorgeous view and breakfast excellent. Arrived late but squeezed in a drink at bar...food menu looked good.

Parking at NCP Birmingham High Street car park at discounted rate of £10.50, ensure you ask for exit ticket. Easy to find, clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good. Complimentary Hot beverages throughout the day near reception. Kitchenette was handy and fridge was convenient. Downside was bathroom sink was slow to drain and waste hole was so dirty.
