"I chose this establishment based on good reviews online. We enjoyed our one night stay. The history of the building was interesting, we had everything we needed or asked for. Would stay again. We used it for its proximity to the Quantocks and other walks."
The Royal Lion Hotel

"The Royal Lion Hotel is a nice place to stay. It is in a very good position to explore Lyme Regis from. The staff are very nice and helpful and friendly. The food was good for me as I have some food intolerances and I could always find something tasty to eat. I hope they light the fires in the bar soon as it is getting chilly and a fire is so comforting. We had a very nice room with access to a garden and seating. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. A lovely shower with plenty of hot water as well. I also like the traditional rooms on the upper floors as they are more in keeping with the age of the building. I hope the Royal Lion is not modernised too much. We want to stay there because of the Tradition of the building, the décor including furniture and the comfort. Please don't modernise too much. We will be back."

"Clean and comfertable. Food, wine and beer good. Good location. Many well behaved dogs. Only issue, booked a table in resteraunt, didn't expect dogs to be in there-but ok. But to see a cat led flat out on top of dining table, with no one attempting to move it, until diners arrived to unwiped table(cat bed)?Relocated for meal to bar area."

"A little dated and basic, but was very pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed my spontaneous night here with the dog, staff very kind and helpful. Big cups in the room, with nice biscuits and Yorkshire tea! Very affordable too for the night, would very happily return - given at a services, I didn’t hear the motorway at all! I stayed for convenience, not a ‘need’ and personally for £37 a night, I’d happily go back again!"

"Nice hotel with big rooms but poor lighting to do make up and nowhere in the bathroom to put down a wash bag or make up bag … glass shelf too narrow! Exquisite food. Thank you"
Wall Eden Farm

"The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, this farm is a fabulous escape and more ! The lodge was clean and well equipped and had the added luxury of a hot tub. We didnt try the axe throwing or the archery but we will be back so who knows"
