"Beautiful looking old hotel with picturesque scenery especially the river Room was lovely size, bed comfy, hot shower Could do with tidying up the patio/garden area and the net curtain needs replacing. Wiping off muddy or coffee marks off the walls in the bedroom. TV needs tuning very difficult to source a channel. I did raise this issue but was told its always been that way! Staff were super friendly, the evening meal was beautiful. Great waitress service"

"A little dated and basic, but was very pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed my spontaneous night here with the dog, staff very kind and helpful. Big cups in the room, with nice biscuits and Yorkshire tea! Very affordable too for the night, would very happily return - given at a services, I didn’t hear the motorway at all! I stayed for convenience, not a ‘need’ and personally for £37 a night, I’d happily go back again!"

"Nice hotel with big rooms but poor lighting to do make up and nowhere in the bathroom to put down a wash bag or make up bag … glass shelf too narrow! Exquisite food. Thank you"

"The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, this farm is a fabulous escape and more ! The lodge was clean and well equipped and had the added luxury of a hot tub. We didnt try the axe throwing or the archery but we will be back so who knows"
