Nice, clean hotel, walking distance to everything

Posted 27-Jul-2017
Pros: Quiet hotel, not on top of night life but close to all attractions
Fantastic weekend away. Enjoyed walking along the front and the pier, the lanes is always a Saturday afternoon favourite!

Shoddy hotel not close to town centre

Posted 25-Jul-2017
No aircon so rooms very stuffy Stuffy rooms affect quality of sleep so not a restful experience One small bar of soap allocated between 2 people for 3 nights Torn curtains with multiple rips in nets Room and bathroom needs investment as very tired and no evidence of real/proper cleaning Minimum supply of tea/coffee and NO biscuits! Poor effort of the above doesn't make you feel valued as a guest

It was supposed to be 4star I've stayed in many hotels throughout the world but never in a supposedly 4 star that was as shabby, with grimy night staff who were supposed to be in charge of the bar. This being only 11 pm, when it was supposed to be a 24 hour. It was £18just to park my car overnight ,disgusting. We were quizzed going to breakfast, which we had paid in advance for. Absolutely crap hotel

Would not recommend

Posted 15-Jul-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleaner especially the Showers
Location: Excellent location, close to shops, restaurants...
Hotel location perfect, close to the beach, Reception staff very nice, not a four star though, very dated, bathroom had mould, not nice to shower, housekeeping came very early, parking very small spaces had car marked from other peoples doors, would not recommend to a friend.

Very Poor Hotel

Posted 07-Jul-2017
Pros: location
Cons: Decor
Location: Great location shame about the hotel
Hotel needs an upgrade,Decor very poor,Breakfast not worth the money we waited 10 minutes for our tea and coffee. We judged this Hotel on our stay at the Brands Hatch Mercure they are nothing alike.

Pros: Very little
Cons: See above
Location: Seafront location, which was good with plenty to do
Lovely old building but the hotel in general looks very jaded and in need of attention. My room (305) was very small, more a single room with a 4ft bed rather than a double. Very little room to move around so was pleased I only stayed for one night.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff.

Posted 26-Jun-2017
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Make guests aware of parking cost
Location: Plenty to see and do within ten minutes of walking
Arrived late Friday afternoon, booked in straight away, no problem with room except the window hardly opened, quite stuffy although fan provided. However our neighbors opposite had little or no consideration for others, very noisy opening slamming doors ,shouting,a child constantly whining, thiscontinued until early hours. We let reception know and they upgraded us to another room thankfully, also they were very apologetic.

Room with a view?

Posted 12-Jun-2017
Our room was very nice but lacked the waterfront view that I thought I had booked. When I tried to have room changed I was told by hotel staff that the hotel did not have any twin rooms with view. So I am not sure if this is a hotel problem or Expedia. That was frustrating but overall our room (with view of exterior walls...) was nice.
