I worked on this hotel during original construction… It has been well maintained. Beds are very comfortable…Staff is great. The big negative was the pool is not available and is an eyesore. Possibly even danger as covering has rotted and degraded…

The check-in and out was very fast, room spotless clean and all appliances in working condition. I'd liked to have more light in the bathroom and the shower floor was very slippery. Decent breakfast. Will stay here again on my next trip

Greeted and welcomed by a very friendly manager. Check in and out was breeze. Great fresh food at a reasonable price right in hotel. Price was very reasonable. Very clean and room was a nice size not cramped. Will definitely say here again in the future

The staff is really good. It’s not often I can post this. I watched the General Manager interact with guests and staff. She was very welcoming and on top of a very busy lobby. The best hotels will always have their GM’s on the floor. The lobby was really pretty with very nice tile and lots of places to sit. There is a restaurant on site that’s good also. I’ll definitely stay there again when I am in Bloomington

Location and Room were very clean, well presented. The phone in the room did not work at all and kept lighting up all night, kinda annoying but no big deal. the carpet near the tub was frayed, this should be trimmed. The jets on the tub did not work. there is water damage on the ceiling that was not repaired well i assume from the next floors jet tub having a leak at some point. we had to get the front desk clerk involved in fixing our TV to connect to the internet for the streaming services advertised, you still have to have your own accounts and then get them to bring you a TV remote to connect to the hotel wifi... a bit of a pain and misleading advertising. this room is also advertised as soundproofed... not a chance not even close. we could hear kids running up and down the hall all night, people talking in the morning, water running in adjacent rooms, etc. breakfast was good and the people were nice and helpful. it was a decent time

Jacuzzi Room
We were in town for a concert and wanted to relax before the show, we had the jacuzzi tub in the room. Everything was perfect. The rrom was very clean, bed was very comfortable and quiet.

Run down and in dire need of refurbishment
The good: refrigerator & microwave in room; fast service to replace battery in chirping smoke detector. The bad: huge water stain on ceiling; dresser drawers would not stay closed - they kept opening on their own; hard pillows and crinkly mattress; lamp missing on one night stand so a floor lamp was shoved behind the night stand; phone didn't work; the chair and ottoman in the room were visibly dirty; either mold or grime where the shower tile met the shower pan; a tile fell off the bathroom baseboard; shower pressure was so anemic that my shoulders were cold while washing and rinsing my hair; the side entry we used had a completely missing lock, so the side door was open all the time. The room seemed very run down and in desperate need of a complete redo. I would not stay there again.

Was not warned the reataurant was closed for remodeling. One of the reasons I stay is for the in house dining and drinks. Also I booked a 2 night stay key didn’t work after first day. Overall for the price I will be staying here again in 5 weeks.

This hotel is VERY CLEAN and very well maintained. The service at the Front Desk was superb and the Room was also clean and nice. Unfortunately, all these type of hotels have little of good breakfast stuff. Most americans would not say this, because they like all the sugar carb stuff for bkfst. I always go out for bkfst, so this is okay. This hotel was a great hotel

The location of the hotel is convenient to family, but it isn’t likely we will stay there again. The mattress in our room was completely broken down on one side. It would be impossible to sit on the edge without falling off. The room was visibly dirty in spots; there was food debris on the floor under a table and the bathroom floor was sticky. The elevator button for our floor only worked after repeatedly being pressed, and the elevator was very slow making us worry about its safety. One morning there was no milk to use for cereal and the bread for toast was very stale. On the positive side, the staff was pleasant and helpful.

Average at best. The shower was not clean and had a spider crawling in it. The staff at the front desk were pleasant, but everyone else we had contact with was rude. The elevator looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. On a positive side, the room was fairly large and the hotel is in a decent location.

We stayed in multiple hotels during this vacation. This one was the most expensive and we were looking forward to a nice experience. It was awful! The room was not cleaned well including the previous guest's soap wrapper still in the tub. The housekeeper was cleaning rooms near our room (using a vacuum) well after 8 pm and it was very loud. Everything in the room was old and in need of repair. I feel lied to by the "good" reviews that were posted. I doubt that I will trust this site again.

Home town visit
Overall we were happy with our stay. The 2nd day our room didn’t get cleaned/made up. We left before noon so no excuse there. The clerk at the front desk brought us clean towels and coffee. No issues after that.

The first room had an air conditioner that was leaky and the entire floor in front of the window was soaked. The mattress of the the next room was flat as a pancake and offered little support.
