Top Blindcrake Hotel Reviews
Crown and Mitre Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"It's an old hotel, but its clean, tidy and the staff are great. Rooms vary, some are bigger than others. Location couldn't be any better for the centre of Carlisle. On this occasion we were on the fourth floor which does require some stair climbing (there is one lift, it holds four people and is usually occupied by confused old people), rooms are a little smaller on that floor, although the bathroom was huge. Water pressure wasn't fantastic but was okay for a couple of night stay. Last time I stayed on the third floor and the room was a little bigger and althought the bathroom was smaller, no issues with water pressure. Bar is great, not expensive and the bar food is good quality fresh food (didn't try the restaurant). Parking is free, but is limited - you're probably okay arriving before 5PM weekdays, but weekends is busier - there is an underground pay car park literally 300 yards away, so no big deal if you can't get in."
County Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Pleasant overnight stay in a small but perfectly adequate for my needs single room. Central location opposite the railway station in a Victorian grade 2 listed building .Plenty of pubs and eating places nearby ,and supermarkets a few minutes' walk .The English breakfast was good though would have liked some fruit yoghurt as one of the options. The overall charge of £42 for B&B was good value for money. I'd happily stay there again ."
Armathwaite Hall Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Estate Suite room was just phenomenal, newly refurbished, cosy bed, clean room. Staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. Spa facilities were fantastic and having use throughout the period of our stay was really lovely. Outdoor heated pool, indoor heated pool, length pool, steam room, salt room, sauna. Food and dining experiences in Zaika, The Dining Room and Breakfast were all fab. There were two weddings during our stay and it never impacted us in the main building in our room. Highly recommend (particularly for an engagement celebration!)"
The Daffodil Hotel

"Breakfast staff were brilliant!"
Seacote Hotel
8/10 Good
"The room was exceptionally clean and towels renewed every day if required. Tea, coffee and biscuits replaced every day. Decaf tea and coffee on request. Our room was comfy but could do with a coat rack and more hangers for the rather strange idea of a wardrobe, you'll see😁 Fantastic view from 108! Parking is free with a voucher from reception at check-in. Staff are very accommodating. The chef is excellent!"

The Swan at Grasmere - The Inn Collection group
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were fab, couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed for 2 nights and did a few walks round the area and it’s in a great area. The room was lovely and spacious. We also took our dog and the amount of space and areas they were allowed was great. The breakfasts were really nice and again, the staff were really great. My only real gripe was a 10:30am check out but that’s being really picky. We are already planning our next one"
