We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend. The staff were incredibly welcoming to both us and our dog, special mention to Lauren who took the time to give us information on Berwick and phoned around to source a dog-friendly taxi for us. All the staff were friendly and helpful, we didn’t have a meal but the drinks and cocktails were all excellent. The hotel was clean, the bed & pillows comfortable. A lovely little welcome box for our collie was a special touch and much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would love to visit again!

Enjoyed my stay. The food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Couple of points. It was not obvious on entering the grounds where the entrance was. Having a hot drinks dispenser on the corridor is not brilliant as I am not getting up to go down the corridor to have a drink in bed. Revising the room layout, especially the strange wardrobe thing and moving the television table completely would leave room for a better smaller wardrobe and for the TV to go on the wall just above and to the right of the bathroom light switch. Other wise I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

When booking a room with a private bathroom you expect to have hot water. Knowing the boiler had broken down weeks before we were not advised! The room stank of stale cigarette smoke, the window didn’t close properly and the carpet was threadbare. The room was clean and linen was clean. On complaining we were moved to a room with an electric shower, but still no hot water in the wash hand basin. The staff did their best but hands were tied not a manager to be seen. As we were the only guests staying I can understand why!!! If we hadn’t pre paid and the weather had not been so dreadful we would have left immediately.
