"Just what I wanted for two nights "

"The accommodation was amazing. We had completed a visit prior to our booked dates to see what the pub & accommodation was like. We weren’t disappointed. The accommodation was very clean and tidy. The staff on reception were very helpful and cheerful. We didn’t actually get chance to sample the restaurant (as we were in the locality to attend a wedding). "

"Lovely place to stay out of town and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a bus about 50m away that goes to York. Great place to stay and explore the area, then come home to an excellent spa and gym. Only grizzle is that the pillows weren’t great and I think if you’re staying there you should get a spa towel without paying for it! Make sure to book any spa treatment or restaurant early as they book out. "

"Room was a good size and very clean,bed really comfatable,Tea and Coffee in good supply also could get extras from reception. We went to tge Clarenden Pub which is 2 mins walk from the hotel,really friendly and we had Sunday Roast there and it was to die for.If we go back to Hull we wouldnt hesitate to stay here again"

"I love village hotels. I think they're the best chain to stay in. Always good standards with great facilities. However, although we had a nice stay, and the staff as always were great, this one has seen much better days. It was very worn and looked tired. The carpets throughout need replacing. Wallpaper was coming off the walls in the halls. Our rooms were nice, but just need a bit of tlc. A nice stay, but the hotel needs some love"
