"One of the best we’ve stayed in, very friendly staff, dog was welcome and room was very thoughtfully decorated, big mugs, fantastic shower and good layout. Only thing we didn’t like was the loo light coming on automatically, so in the middle of the night it shone into the bedroom."

"Very welcoming to a very comfortable room. We took dinner at one of the local pubs - but be early as they do stop serving food. Ample parking - although I think it was very quiet. It was an icy night - and unfortunately, the heating failed, so it was chilly in the room. Nice and clean - bathroom too."

"B.P. Lodge has had a chequered history in recent years. Wonderfully it seems to be in good, caring hands right now. En-route from the Scottish Highlands to Kent - it makes an ideal overnight stay with a good evening meal available if you want one. Pooch-friendly Room 11 is lovely.
