I don't normally use superlatives but for this place I am prepared to make an exception. We stayed for two nights and from start to finish it was an excellent experience. The welcome was warm. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was spotless - both the room and the common areas. The food was superb, the menu creative and the table service friendly and timely without being intrusive. Portion size was good too. Great stay lovely hotel in great location. Room was nice but old flooring under carpet so very squeaky when walking around. Lovely comfy bed and very friendly staff. Would stay again. I did begrudge paying £15 to park especially as there is no barrier and no cameras so could have not paid and nobody would have known! Struck of money grabbing in a way. That said we did get a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary and red petals on the bed which was very nice touch.
